Lissandra Bio

Ok so I just read Lissandras new bio and im thinking that they really changed her. Now she seems not like a villain but like a misguided hero. Why would they change it and it just worries me are they just going to keep changing people? After Karma they said they wouldnt change someone that drastically at least gameplay wise which goes hand in hand with lore.

Me too? its my first time to be like this with a lore retcon.

I think Syndra and Lissandra switched roles

Syndra - Misguided Anti-hero = Villain Lissandra - Villain = Misguided Anti-hero

LOL I think someone at the lore department was confused and switched up the two because they have a similar suffix

I dont understand what riot is doing! This actually made me mad because she was the villain , she had the power and she was their seer trying to bring them back! And now this shit happens -.-

Yeah, I don't get it. Lissandra already had pretty solid lore too. She barely needed the update. And its a shame because I really like the short story that came out with it: It gives a lot of creepy Void vibes and also fleshes out the Frostguard themselves and how they function and fit in the world.

These changes are just confusing. How did they think she needed to be changed? Why would she try to erase/manipulate history now? Why does it feel like Avarosa's contributions suffer because of this?

All they had to do was hit the high points: Watchers make them Iceborn, Lissandra worships them, sisters disagree, Civil War ends with Lissandra losing and Watchers in Howling Abyss, Lissandra plots their return with her "plans within plans" style that made her so iconic, now she leads the Frostguard. I wouldn't even care about the whole "Avarosa is deaf, Serylda is mute" bit or any other odd details if they had just stuck to these few points.

These few points that, mind you, already fleshed out all of Freljord and most of its champions.

As you said, Lissandra's appeal comes from being a true Villain, firmly on the side of an entity that will bury the world in ice.

I think the reason for this retcon is that it really doesn't make much sense to work for the watchers unless you are some kind of mad apocalypse-cult-member and we already have Malzahar for that.

Tbh it makes sense that Lissandra is doubting her alliance with the Watchers... their promise of eternal servitude is scary AF.

Lissandra goes pretty far to keep her bargain with the Watchers under wraps all whilst desperately trying to delay their escape. She sacrificed her sisters and their tribes in order to make a True Ice barrier to seal away the Watchers... and she would probably do that again.

She's the lesser of two evils, but still pretty cruel. It's not like she can just ask Ashe and Sejuani to willignly sacrifice their tribes in order to maintain the True Ice barrier. She has to play her cards right.

She's still very much an ice witch, but only now she's not guided by madness.

Idk...All I know that Lissandra existed in the League of legends until now. Her "lore rework" deleted her whole. Funny how it seems like the void devoured her and some other girl just took the name.

It just worries me what they will do. Is it even worth it to keep up with lore if they are going to constantly change it? It just seems so inconsistent now even with her teaser.

Most villains are misguided heros.

But yeah I like her as a evil villain knowing she's bad

Tbh if they changed her from the "Villain to a Misguided hero" like you said (I haven't read the updated bio) then her incoming passive update doesn't make sense thematically anymore. She would be freezing people in tombs just because she's misguided, something is not right here.

I feel you. Don't know how to feel about her new story.
