The other four Star Guardians could use new voice overs much better than Soraka, her voice already fits the theme pretty well.

that reminds me of a artwork i saw about League's woman's bust size , it was from biggest to smallest , sona > ahri > soraka > leona > caitlyn > janna > jinx .standing in line. later that artwork was improved by adding more of the females into it :|

It depends on what the point of the Legendary is meant to be. I can only guess they wanted the Leader of the SG Group to have the Legendary, but that's a guess. Soraka, as well as she fits the theme, does not fit a Leader position nor the attitude they want for a SG Leader. Look at Lux and Jinx, the two more prominent members of the other SG group. They're perky, hopeful, rude in Jinx's case, but they're all very ecstatic and lively.

Soraka does not fit ecstatic and lively, even with an extended VO. She fits a more Caring and loving profile, and would've made a great Starmother, the Lotus of the Star Guardians, but not an SG group leader. Since they seem to want to keep the SG leader more mystique, or what so, and a lack of fitting supportive champs for the SG line-up (Soraka is way better than Sona in this sense), that's why she got the 1350.

Because of that, I think that's why they chose to void over her for the Legendary.

although i could see your reasoning to certain extend but by that standard MF would have made a better leader than Ahri, Ahri would have been my choice next to MF before i heard that new VO for Ahri but not after it.

Perhaps, but I think it's easier to make Ahri more peppy, lively, and highschool-like than MF, who even in SG form looks a lot older than the rest.

to me ahri looks much younger than MF in any skinlines anyway.

also if i rememeber correct in the topic that was titled "we need to stop saying x character doesn't fit x skinline" you agreed with what the topic said about how any character could fit any role and skinline? doesn't that mean MF can also fit this peppy highshool like character as well?

btw upvote for your outside the box reasoning instead of "ahri sells better"

No, what I had said was that any Character can be concepted into a skinline, but the final product is still very far away. Being able to make a concept is not the same as an actual skin in it's final form.

And just because you can make a concept, does not mean it fits the character.

That is kinda the same reason that blood moon Diana was made. It's a reason I feel champions shouldn't have titles, she ruined the skin line, and they retconned what it stood for because of it. While Soraka deserves some love, it should be because of her personality being perfect for the role, which it is, not her title.

So Shen and Akali are putting on a play, Akali being the protag. All the other figures just seem to be more characters in the play/ story being told?

Yeah, they were all demons except for akali. Elise got away with it because she was a pretender, and her "mask" was the spider form, but Diana had no such excuse.

its not about who got it its just that she deserve it regardless of who was picked for the legendary skin instead.
