The new elemental lux had come out, and all the old ultimate skin looks not that nice anymore, pulsefire ez is not looking superior compare to the arcade ez, dj sona is not pretty, compare to her other skin, now, elemental lux are the most suit to the ultimate skin, while other 2 ultimate skin are not even suit for ppl using 30 dollar to buy it, no matter of their particles in game or the picture for loading screen.

DJ sona is amazing.

These skins are likely only getting touch ups if they give their champions a VGU(or maybe if another skin of the same skin-series comes out, which seems kinda unlikely since all ultimate skins are standalone-skins so far).

But didn't riot say that spirit guard udyr is more or less his visual rework? I'm fairly certain I read that but I could be wrong.

GreenLore2 votes

No thats just what everyone else is saying, because they feel the theme isn't that different from the regular Udyr.

I mean, Riot did say that spirit guard is where Udyr is in his lore right now. Playing that skin is playing current Udyr. I'm not a fan of Riot locking a cool part of the lore behind 25 bucks, but I guess they can decide on that.

No they said that this would be Udyr if he had achieved complete inner harmony with his spirits and remaind with the monks in Ionia.

In the regular lore he returned to the freljord and only mastered his powers partially.

It's like the project, battlecast, and mecha skin lines. They represent one possible future of the lore, and spirit guard udyr is one outcome where udyr just gains complete inner harmony. It's still canon, it's just off in one possible future.

Its not in a "possible" future, but an alternate one. After all Udyr left the monks already in his main lore,so a future where he never left them isn't really possible.

And eitherway it wouldn't be Canon until it becomes part of the main-timeline.Just because something is a "possible future outcome" doesn't make it canon unless that future outcome actually happens in the main lore.

Honestly, at the rate riot moves, nothing will ever become canon. They're more or less unable to ever end a plot because that means that, say, lissandra has to die, and they probably won't have a dead champion in their lore, so the battle for the freljord can never end. Only one character is even close to finishing their plot, and Ivern doesn't seem like he's going to have any impact at all on the main story.

But thats besides the point.

Just because you aren't satisfied with the speed of the lore doesn't mean that alternate-universe-lore is suddenly canon.

Actually, I was just pointing out that the lore isn't really able to go anywhere. I'm fine with the speed of the lore. Also, just remember that Spirit guard udyr came around before the old lore was retconned, so he may have been canon then.

He came after the freljord event, which was the last time that Udyrs lore was updated.

And in general I think they did say that they are ok with killing off champions, but thats obviously going to be only in the late game a thing(it was kinda obvious that GP survived because he barely had any screentime).

Hm. Well, I must admit defeat in this debate. You have pretty good debate skills, good fellow! I wasn't around for burning tides, but even reading up on it it did seem obvious that gangplank was going to come back shortly.

And elementalist lux is also "what lux is now" in that thinking as well
