Now that Varus is a darkin, shouldn't his name be "Vaarus". :D

Back when Aatrox was released, his name having the two 'A's was kinda just his own thing, but now with Rhaast being introduced with Kayn it looks like having the double 'A's is a trend in Darkin names. From the new lore we're gotten for Varus, it seems (and correct me if I'm wrong) that "Varus" is the name of the Darkin with "Valmar" and "Kai" being the two people whose bodies were used to make the his new body. Since Varus was released before the Darkin were even a thing, shouldn't his name be updated along with his lore to follow the double 'A' trend? This is just a thought I had lol

Just completely rename him to something that isn’t even similar to Varus.

He’s not Varus so Riot shouldn’t pretend that he is.

I understand why a lot of people aren't liking Varus's new lore, but I still think this is a cool way of bringing him back into the current canon of league, with how old his original backstory was, while also keeping his core themes, like vengeance and corruption, intact. It's a lot like the VGU updates where riot tries to bring older champions up to current standards while trying to keep what made them them, except here it's just his lore.

They completely threw away his core. Varus chose Duty over Family and then regret drove him to betray it. Vengeance is just a mask for his grief. This new character is nothing like that.

Maybe they have familial naming schemes? Rhaast and Aatrox are brothers (not sure if that's literal) . So maybe new Varus and his sister both have their names ending in a "us" or something.
