Champion Lore (for Ekko)
I have read many complaints about champions and their lore. So for the new champion, I have decided to test the waters here and create a lore. Here it is:
A bright young mind from the backstreets of Zaun, Ekko spent his days trying to bring about a change to the city filled with Viktor's acolytes. Ekko tried every little thing he could to incite any form of change but, as he soon realized, he would not be able to change anything within his lifespan using his methods. One day, Ekko visited the Institute of war, where he soon learned of Zilean, the Chronokeeper. Fascinated by Zilean's condition and by the methods of which he achieved them, Ekko set about to create his weapon of change. After seemingly endless research and failure, Ekko finally crafted the Tempus Blade. The blade allowed Ekko to effectively control time skips. Viktor quickly learned of Ekko and his Tempus Blade and desired to claim it for his own. Ekko was quickly set upon by Viktor's acolytes and it was during an engagement that Ekko realized that even though he can skip backwards in time, the wounds he sustains will not be healed. With this knowledge in mind, Ekko knew that he could not face every acolyte and decided to leave Zaun. If Ekko was really going to change Zaun, he knew of the one place that he stood the best chance, the Institute of War.
"People waste a lot of time, and then they wish for more. More hours in their days, more days in their years, more years in their lives. As if they had all that extra time, they could fix any mistake. I don't need hours or days or years, I only need seconds." -Ekko
