Snow day malzahar

image Can someone please explain me why the new Malzahar passive makes Snow Day Malzahar purple? I understand the default one being related to the void and all that, but if anything, snow day Malzahar should be more white... Either way, changing the skin color seems redundant to me since he has a visible shield around him. I have to say that I strongly dislike the change in coloration of the passive. Considering I will be in passive mode most of the time, it changes the skin I paid for in an uglier more purple version of it... I am very dissatisfied

It might be to show off the new passive a bit more, or they just thought blue was to hard of a color to see, so if purple shield, purple Malz.

I'm not sure though.

I think the purple-ish hue is meant to match his voidlings in that skin.

It's most likely because of readability. People see malz glows purple and know his passive is up,they likely fear that different colors would end up confusing.

Why does snow day Malz have a weapon anyway? Serious snowball fights?

The passive should definitely be a swirling snowstorm.
