Haven't seen this question in a while: What Character lore/personality do you appreciate the most?

As the title says, what character do you appreciate the most in the canon?

As in, who do you most relate to or empathize with?

Personally I am unsure of whom I'm most appreciative of. My mains are Jayce and Thresh, each of which are both arrogant, strongminded characters. However if I had to choose one, I'd have to relate with Braum. I certainly have yet to support a mustasche as grand as his, however it's his reliability and duty that he fulfills to his allies and comrades that makes him so similar to myself. In a way he himself is a 'catch-all', it's not very difficult to relate to a man that protects what he believes to be special. Yet still.

If there was a second, it would be Olaf. For purpose of both Asatru beliefs and my own personal need to find worthiness in my day to day life. His is a struggle of character that can easily be related to as well - wanting to fulfill your envisioned purpose and to strike back against the finality that fate brings, to go against the grain of predetermined worth. We may not all succeed, but we may certainly make a ruckus through our endeavors.

Mine would probably be Lux. Getting to know through her judgement that under that "happy-go-lucky" attitude is a misserable young girl that's been treated as a tool her entire life and now have pretty much nothing left that's dear to her, that gave me the shivers.

I appreciate Braum's personality quite a bit. It was a relief to get a genuinely friendly champion after so much grimdark

My favorite stories would be: Old Trundle, he had an awesome lore about a naïve troll turning cynical because he realises his whole tribe is a bunch of selfish, ahem, after he sacrificed himself for them. Zilean, he has a really tragic story where his desperate attempts to safe his town curse him to now relive the tragedy over and over again. Veigar, his is actually just great. He went mad in isolation, now he tries to intimidate the world to stop all wars because he's a yordle and can't shed his good intentions.

Trundle has been retconned out already in favor of a new character, no garentuee Veigar won't be next :(.

Ryze, tbh. He cuts through all the "We're on top of the food chain" nonsense when it comes to magic, acknowledging that the arcane force connects all things and demands respect and reverence. He respects magic for what it is, and wants to become more and more a part of it for honest reasons; you could contrast him in a way with Old-Lore Xerath. Xerath sought power just to learn and unlock secrets - Ryze seeks power to do this *and *become closer to Runeterra.

And somehow, he managed all this without becoming a flaming asshole, much like Xerath did. In fact, he's a pretty okay guy imo.

My personal favorite is Maokai. Just a woodland spirit guarding the forests until the magis tore apart the land and turned it into the Shadow isles. Poor Maokai.

Lulu! Lulu is my main and I empathize with her the most. That constant up-beat happiness is great. In my headcanon she secretly feels super sad about leaving her family/friends behind when she entered the glade but hides said depression behind a smile. To me she's tragic, adorable, and super cuddly. :3

I do like Riven a ton. Strong both physically and mentally, with her power coming from her valor and iron will. She exudes confidence but she's no stranger to moral tension and questions. She wondered what true virtue is, she pondered the Noxian way and found it corrupted, then she set out to mend it and right what's wrong with it. She has an idealist's goal and the ways of a pragmatic person.
