Wondering if there are any connectoins between Aurelion Sol and Bard

I was wondering if any theories about the connection between Aurelion Sol and Bard have formed yet. In the log in screen(champion art) you can see Aurelion Sol looking at some monolith crowned with what appears to be a broken circle for some sort, looking similar to the one seen in the bard video(to me atleast). In Sol's lower neck there are three very bright(in comparison to the others) stars, like the ones seen at the end of the Mountain video. Maybe the monolith(s) in Aurelion's art is just Mount Targon, but then that also questions where Bard was. Dunno, either way I think that there is definintally some connection between the Star Forger and Bard, that pretty much created stars with the relic.

Another thing I'm questioning at the moment is what that relic was that Bard saves, whatever it is that makes those stars appear and(presumably) saves that village. Maybe it was some thing to summon Sol? But then again it doesn't really show a Pantheon yelling at Sol to save the village.
