They did Academy less than a year ago. While that was still a while ago he isnt in the direst of needs for a new skin...

Riot please, there's Taric for the Disney Prince lovers, but for fans of the hot bad guy trope there's pretty much only Vlad and he's stuck with the 2010 model for as long as the curse of the legendary skin lasts.

Seriously though, I keep hearing pros say Vlad doesn't have enough counterplay, so as much as I love the rework, in a way it did not succeed. Does that mean he's in line for a VGU as we speak? :3

Not sure what you mean by the title, considering the thread itself and in context with it, but Riot wouldn't tell if there is a new Vladimir skin in development, simply not to raise expectations and then have the skin scrapped which will result in a lot of people being upset about it.

Anyways, since Vlad's last skin (Academy) was released 10 months ago, he might be considered for a new skin, if the opportunity is there. Although, keep in mind that he also got his Soulstealer skin only two months before his Academy skin, so that might slightly prioritize him from getting a skin.

Anyways, a case like Academy Vladimir shortly following Soulstealer only goes to show that if a thematic is strong, and if the opportunity is there, Riot won't hold back from giving him a skin that fits the planned line well (Academy).
