Azir and the whole "enslavement"
As I'm reading thorugh Azir's lore (http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/shurima/azir) it clearly states that Azir himself never enslaved people, but his father did. During time of the "Enslavement" Azir was just a boy merely 15 years old, became friends with Xerath who actually was a slave. As soon as Azir rose to Emperor because of his father's "Suicide" he wanted to change everything. "He instituted reforms to better the lives of slaves and privately developed a plan to overturn millennia of tradition and eventually free them all."
The only thing Azir did wrong was not telling Xerath about his plans. "He kept his plans secret, even from Xerath, and the issue of slavery would prove to be a continual bone of contention between them." I can understand Xerath, after being friends for so long and your friend becoming the emperor you'd think he might do something about the enslavement. Azir should've told him about it.
"he turned to Xerath and finally freed him. And not just him, but all slaves… Xerath was stunned into speechlessness." on the day of his Ascension he told Xerath but it was apparently already too late, Xerath took Azir's place in the Dais and because of the immense power that Xerath couldn't control Shurima fell.
thus my opinion about everything here, Azir is not to blame (except not telling Xerath his plans any sooner) the state of Taliyah being "Azir's enemy" isn't right too, it was his father who enslaved people but that was thousands of years ago, after all nobody knew what happened at the day of Azir's Ascension but the few Shuriman's themselves.
