What riot should do is stop making new champs for a while and let some of the older champs age..... like instead of just doing reworks why not let the champs grow and reveal some additional lore. I mean shouldn't Annie be a bit tall with more experience after 6 years, come on riot.

Not to mention that by that logic we'll be eventually stuck in the league of grandpas &grandmas....
Also I doubt they'll stop making champs,that is one of the big sellingpoints for lol,that its cast is always expanding.(Not to mention that it probably wouldn't speed up the lore that much).
Though I agree that we should see some progression in the stories for the different champs.

MeleeNuke2 votesI actually have to agree. Despite popular opinion, I think Riot knows the best way to produce and develop League of Legends. Rioters are trained and paid professional game developers, and yet most of the community thinks they know the best way to develop it.

I was under the assumption that once a champion joined the League, they were kind of locked in at that point in time. Still able to live day-to-day lives, but upon being summoned they were summoned in the same form as they were locked in as. Whether or not that allowed champs to age outside of the League is the only thing I couldn't even guess at. Well, with all the confusion with the lore currently, who knows how things will turn out?

Just because years have passed in the real world,doesn't mean that years have passed in runeterra. I mean if that'd be the case,then annie would have grewed up in several years in which nothing special happened.

That was never something given in lore, and it sounds oddly contradictory to explanations in the old lore.

ULTRAF0RCE1 votesOne question, has Narrative, or Riot in general thought about the far future for any of the characters, like one piece of Annie's lore that I find interesting is the mention of how she will probably become the strongest mage by the time she reaches adulthood, in a different game in the League universe, would it not be possible to have Annie as an adult wearing mostly traditional mage clothes with a stuffed bear on a pendant or just hanging with some potions on her side?

I really don't want a champion's personality to change at all, that would just mean what we originally liked about them could change at any given moment, making us not like them anymore.

You mean like they've already done to Skarner? He used to have personality and a real story, albeit sorta cliche'd and cheesy story, but one none-the-less. Now he's just a random killing machine monster that kills anything within his radius in the Shurima Desert, that's it. Let's face it, they've already thrown all the old lore out the window and admitted they're going to basically change everything. How do you think Lee Sin's personality as a failed summoner is going to last when they REMOVED summoners and the League?
So if you actually expect them to keep true to the old champions personalities then maybe you should come out of the optimist bubble sooner than later, as it's just going to be worse later. xD
I agree on the not aging part, it just wouldn't really work. Because if they're going to age them then they're going to have to replace them eventually too and nobodies going to want that.

theres way more to this idea than you can imagine with way more reprocutions than you are thinking of people die some champs want others dead who knows what champs have killed each other if we actually fast forward varus wants noxus blood sion wants demacian blood especialy jarvens zed and shen could fight to the death with akali and kennen being involved since they all hate zed plus victor and jayce we have that rivalry and jinx has ZERO regard for human life any piltover champ could die in one of jinxs attacks and not to mention freljords war which both sides want liss dead and want to kill the other side trynds undying rage doesnt last forever
tbh i like getting new champions i like getting reworks it means champs that people dont use as often become used if we did get some time update it would be league of legends 2 (like dota 2 but not needed or wanted) and i dont know about you but i do not want a 2nd league game after all the money everyone has put in this would literally kill the community unless every champ was free and even then your fav champs could and would be different
