Lets get Riot to make a League of Legends Movie. It could tell the story of Runterra and Summoner's Rift. It could be the same concept, but longer version of the cinematic trailers and i think it would be pretty amazing. Riot would do it for the community if enough people would want it and about every player to ever play League would watch it I bet. Thoughts?
No. With a movie, you only have 3 hours max. And look at what happened to the Warcraft movie when they tried to set-up all the plot from the First War, plus the Burning Legion, into a single movie.
What they should do first, and I'm still quite surprised they haven't done it, is to make online animated episodes, either aiming for 15min to 30min depending on how much budget and/or detail they want to go into. Upload these once a week, or every other week, think most people would be satisfied.
Another two alternatives allow more detail as well - novels (ala what Blizzard did to fill in the gaps between expansions); or comicbooks/graphic novels.
All these avenues would allow far more story than 3 hours would, and would require much less investment from Riot Games and so have a higher likelihood of actually happening, and not be a financial loss for the company.
Make one about Bard at a coffee shop.

I'd rather they went for a story concerning Ionia, the Freljord, Shurima or Piltover/Zaun, but that's probably because those settings are the most important to me.
I mean the obvious answer for a League movie is the Noxian invasion of Ionia, but that comes with its own problems like potentially nineteen champions in to a story, who do you chose to be the main character, how do you show what happened over the course of time, if you even want to do that, etc.
These things take time and money. It's much easier said than done, but probably in the future a movie might happen.
