Actually Jhin started off as a cyborg cowboy born from the aborted remains of one of the early concepts for Kindred.
As I recall.
The only thing is the mask everything else has nothing to do with HJ as Jhin does not think himself the Hero and he cares about how he kills people unlike HJ who could care less how its done
