A few suggestions for a non generic new Evelynn

As you may know our resident sneaker, succubus gal is having a rework. Because my brain works in weird ways I felt compelled to write a new Lore for her. Along with that also a few suggestions of other things like voice, character details and some quotes. Why am I doing this? I felt inspired to do it so I just did it. I do want to work in game development some day so consider this like a new addition to my resume.

I suppose I posted this on the right forums since this more like feedback on what I think Eve's development should be. If it's not then just move them to the proper forum. So long as people can read it and I can get some feedback on it, specially the lore part.

Also this is all my opinions, don't take it as fact and all that, you hopefully know by now.

Evelynn new lore Idea Report from Private Piltover Investigator Rodrino Fredil. Killing sprees in Bilgewater are sadly a common occurrence given its population, which makes it all the more impressive when you aren’t just a problem but a real menace. There are many theories surrounding the Smuggler’s cove stalker but I guarantee you all I’m going to say is true.

It all started one fateful Friday, a body was discovered at the entrance of Loda’s storage units, found by the patrols half eaten by Wharf Rats. For the common folk that’s just another unfortunate pirate walking on the wrong place, wrong time, but the Big Fishes knew it wasn’t a common death. For quite a few years there has been a legend of a mysterious creature that stalks men. Reports vary from a little girl’s shadow to a grown adult, from giggling to scratching, from a few days before death to weeks but what all report share a few things about this “Stalker":

• It’s a humanoid female.
• So far only work around Smuggler’s Cove. Reports have been spreading to nearby areas after the reaping during the last Harrowing.
• Always disappear without a trace.
• Her killings date a long time back before that Friday, about 15-20 years from my research.
• She doesn’t seem to discriminate by gender, status, specie or age.
• Most of her victims are left in places where Wharf Rats can easily find them to eat.
• She doesn’t have an agenda, she just kills for the sake of it.

The key to identify her attacks is not the kill itself but the process before that kill, that’s why she was nicknamed the “Stalker”, she will always stalk a single individual no more than a week, using various tactics to drive that individual insane before they disappear, their corpses found the next day. Here are her most common strategies: -Her shadow appearing at random locations, just visible enough to be spotted at the corner of the eye.

• If the target falls asleep they will wake up with markings on different parts of their body, mainly the chest. Several instances of victims trying to fake their sleep tent to either be killed or reminded of her presence.
• An overwhelming feeling of being watched, she is known to respond if you ask for her. Don’t do it.
• Various high profile killings with various levels of security indicate she always finds a way to get to the victim and take them away.
• Security forces will be executed if they try to oppose her, more often than not their bodies in a place where the victim can see them.
• She seems to be somehow completely silent unless she wants the victim to hear her.
• Sometimes she seems to leave a victim alone for a long time, before coming back right when they thought they were safe.
• Doesn’t work on a particular schedule. Sometimes she stalks back to back or take up to a moth without killing anyone.

That’s all I have got. I’m sure you must be questioning how I'm so sure about all this, well she stalked me as well, everything I described was corroborated by my own experiences but instead of killing me she presented herself before me when I was done collecting data. She said that the only reason why I’m alive is because she found me amusing, whatever that means, checked my notes and corrected some of my theories herself, can’t get a better source than I guess.

As incredible as that sounds I can guarantee you that was the real Stalker, called herself Evelynn, light blue skin, purple outfit, glowing pink eyes. Just standing near her gave me a sense of dread I have never felt in my 40 years of works, would rather spend another year in Zaun, again. She also mentioned that she could use some real practice, “stalk a ninja would be fun”, her words not mine.

Hope the information provided is useful Miss Soraka, thanks for considering me for the job and while I would like to do more work with you I’m retiring for now, this… I need some time to think. If you're sending someone against her you better send your best. If being near her having a chat was that unsettling I don’t want to know how it feels when she is aiming for the kill, hope she wasn’t bluffing about letting me live, given the data I don't have much hope. Don't worry about me, don't want to put anyone else in danger.

Writer notes I had a few ideas to describe how she got her powers, her childhood but it didn't mashed well with the "Stealth succubus" theme she has, I did saved it cause I already have an idea for a character that would fit it well. My goal with this new lore is to keep Evelynn's backstory still a mystery but to properly describe her abilities and her reputation from someone else's perspective, the rest just wrote itself. What I like is that this lore leaves some interesting questions like Why is Soraka of all people interested?, why didn't she used someone from Ionia? is she related to the Shadow Isles? to the Celestial creatures like Soraka? Why smuggler's Cove, or Bilgewater for that matter? At least I think my writing is that smart, heh.

New Personality Currently she feels rather generic, she is a succubus so of course she always talks like she is a few steps from having a... "exiting reaction" if you catch my drift, and of course she is half naked, with added heels (which she comments about funny enough). We got enough "sexy ladies" that share a lot of these traits like Ahri, Elise, Cassiopeia, and even Sona. Lets flip that Succubus theme on its head. Her themes are clear: She is a succubus and feeds from people's pain, given she is a stealth focused character also tells us she prefers to be sneaky, more of a stalker than a fighter. These are my basics to improve on her personality. The new Evelynn, like her new lore implies, loves to take her time before a kill, but best of all she likes when the victims actually try and defend themselves, she loves the attention and having a good challenge. She should be psychotic but in a playful manner. Best example I could come up with is Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls but without the whole "conquer the universe" thing, or maybe she does, who knows, the new lore is open to various possibilities. The kind of character that you can talk with them and maybe have a good time! but the moment she wants she can just tear you apart with her own hands. To hopefully better explain it here are some quotes I though about:

Taunting a Syndra:

• Oh so dark, so eerie, we get it your sad but you could some more sun ya know.

Taunting/Killing an Illaoi:

• Someone got too much faith in their deity and not in themselves.
• All size and no bite after all.
• Hey what happens if Im the one who kills you? do I pass the test?

Taunting an allied Jinx:

• Hey nice gear you got there, you look like fun.
• Oh your that Jinx chick arent you? wanna go eat something after this?
• Oh a fellow artist of mayhem, lets ruin their day.

Taunting a god like creature (Aurelion Sol, Ornn, Azir, etc):

• OH! gods wanna fight me now? my my im flattered.
• I did always wondered if gods could bleed.

Joke at Xerath or Aurelion Sol:

• So what are you supposed to be some kind of advanced light bulb?
• Tune down the light a bit will ya? Im getting blind over here.

Joke at a "Police" related champion (Caitlin, Vi):

• Officer I swear by my life I am a 100% guilty of all charges.
• Hey officer you should go visit Bilgewater some time, they have the best welcome parties for the likes of you.

Joke near Illaoi:

• Hmm.. I have read enough books to know where this is going.
• Tell nakabubu to keep her tentacles over there and I wont have to chop and serve em for dinner.

Joke at enemy Evelynn:

• Huh... wasnt expecting a mirror match.
• Another me? guess Im the only one who can compete with me!

Joke against champions with difficult speech patterns (Kog Maw, Gnar, Rek'sai, etc):

• Can you articulate what you re saying? or are you just that stupid.
• ENGLIIIIIISH (or your regional equivalent) DO YOUUUU SPEAK IT.
• Hmmm... its not the same if I cant understand what you say when I stab you.

Joke at ally Evelynn:

• I!... wait aren't you supposed to be on the other side?
  • I could ask you the same.
    • Hey double the fun anyways.
• Hey me I got some spare smokes if you need any.
  • Thanks me but I already have spare smoke (other Evelynn)
    • Of course I should have know myself better (both laugh)

Listening to an enemy joke:

• HAHAaaaaa I will kill you first.
• Stop it your making me feel like killing you is a favor.
• Hmm yes I see... how about I rearrange your tongue around your neck funny guy.
• Hmm heard that once, the guy is mute now.

Killing spree:

• Oh that felt good, reaaal good.
• Well warm up is over!

ACE:

• What? come on there must be more of them hiding somewhere.
• That it? they coming back for more right?
• Ah shush right when things were getting interesting.

Getting an assist:

• Come on you killed it too quick.
• Keep that up partner and your gonna be next on my list.

CONCLUSION Well that's all I got for the moment, it was pretty long I know but I just had a lot of ideas and I hope this helps in some way. I know you guys are probably going to do a good job but just wanted to give my own ideas out there. Don't forget to comment, i welcome the feedback.
