Mordekaiser's eyes

So, the Mordekaiser rework is finally on its way, and while I like some aspects of it, for example the theme song sounds awesome, there is something that is bugging me.

The most important thing that made Mordekaiser's appearance stand out, at least to me, was his stinging, bright red eyes. They really seemed to embody his absolute and unwavering will. I'd like to hear the reasoning for the change to the pale, small eyes. The red eyes were something that separated him from the rest of the Shadow Isles champions. So I'm wondering why are the eyes now more like those of a Shadow Isles champion, while Mordekaiser is no longer actually associated with the Isles?

Riot hates the Shadow Isles.

The Shadow Isles are one of the regions where every associated champion has full lore (long form and color story) and recently got a long story with Kalista and Thresh.

Just because Riot takes old SI-associated champions and starts to find a new place in the Universe, does not mean Riot hates them. In fact, both of these decisions were justified. As Scathlocke said, Necromancy can exist outside of the Shadow Isles.

Yeah, I might be associating the "Necromancy -look" a little too much with the Shadow Isles. I just think it was a missed opportunity when they went for it with Mordekaiser , who has no strong affiliation with any faction; they could have highlighted that a bit more with a more unique look and, for example, the red eyes.

But I guess that this is a matter of opinion!
