Varus may be gone, but never forget who he was. Never forget our forsaken archer, who only wanted to protect... and lost everything for it.
No matter what trash lore Riot throws at us and refuses to revert - no matter how large the backlash, no matter how many people are okay with a champion being erased and rewritten for shitty reasoning, never forget the champion.
Varus is the man, the _singular _ man, who couldn't protect everything he loved. To punish those who would dare callously take loved ones from others, he resorted to that which he could not let the enemy obtain. To avenge his family.
"I'm on borrowed time." None of us who loved Varus' as he was truly knew the extent of that statement until now. Looks like Varus' time has run out.
But now... now maybe the Varus we knew... the _true _ Varus can finally be at peace. His tortured, tired soul can finally be with his family. And that's all he ever wanted.
Farewell Varus. Soar through the skies you used to gaze toward with your family now. For eternity.
I find this song fitting for Varus:

Vanishing. Like smoke in the wind. His humanity whisked away in one brief moment, one brief decision, so that he could gain the power he needed to avenge his family. Slowly, his being was vanishing - and he knew that. And at the end of the song (6:21 to the end) - a chaotic, turmoil feeling, fading away. To the next life. To his family.
