Oleandervine1 votesIt's still called Kumungu, Ivern references it in his VO. It just doesn't have any bio associated with it since the champions from the jungle are so few, and they could also possibly be waiting to release information on it with a new champion...

What this means is unknown, it could be a person, a place or an object, and how long ago it existed is also unknown. Simply put the Jungle once known to us as Kumungu is no longer called Kumungu or is at least extremely unlikely to be keeping the name.
As for the legacy name Kumungra a coastal settlement inherited it's name.
And before you try to argue about what you feel this comes from Bioluminessence who is pretty hugh up on the whole Geography team.
