Theory: At the wedding, the demon inhabited or devoured the gambler, and ate everything (The gambler became Tahm) That's what it meant by "the fool who let me in"

Tahm Kench is a pretty weird name for a demon, so I'm guessing:

The specific demon we all are talking about represents the foibles of mankind (mankind just referring to all fleshy races like the humans and yordles in this case).

The demons current appearance is the embodiment of the gamblers, Tahm Kenches, foibles. The gamblers foibles was gambling, he gambled everything (even his life), which is why the demon took everything he loved (which was the life he had), such path he took with the deal bit him in the ass. He thought he would be safe of his demons, but once you let them in your life, you are a fool that let it in and screwed yourself in the long process.

Also as many rioters have pointed out in the Q&A, the demon encountered many champions (which means many champions have this inner demon inside them) some as fellows or adversaries (those that are consumed by their inner demons, and those that overcome them).

But the fun thing about Runeterra is that even your inner demons take shape in the physical world. Ill take Game of Thrones world any day now since I now even worse things exist in this setting.

Regardless, I really like the concept behind this champion, the demon thing is something unique.

I want some RP too ;-;... it was my theory. I think it was a bet between the champion development guys or something. Whoever guessed the identity of the gamble got the 2000 RP. @WAAARGHbobo please clear this up. My sweet sweet Zac chromas are drifting off into the horizon never to be reached again :(

Here it is once again.

Tahm Kench is actually the name of the gambler. He was in trouble and made a deal with a swamp demon to save his neck. It worked, he managed to get out of trouble and get a new life in another town. Years later he met a beautiful woman and asked her to marry him. She said yes and the wedding became a cause of celebration across the whole town. However at the altar the swamp spirit/demon came to claim his end of the bargain. He entered Tahm Kench ,transformed him into the monster we see in the game, now corrupted by the demon he devoured every single guest including his own bride. Thus Tahm Kench had been doomed the moment he struck that deal. That’s why the demon calls him “the fool who let me in”.

The illustrations might be symbolic, you never know with the promo videos, they're always so ambiguous and unrelated to the main story. Nice argument. That was actually one of the reasons why I deleted it.

In TF's lore he found another gambler who new as many tricks as he did. That was his rival Graves. So it might be Graves who let tahm in

Well Graves' lore talks about how he lived in the underground for most of his life, and when he got older he started stealing stuff and got caught by Twisted Fate, I doubt he had time to have a wedding or anything like tht. (Or find a Lover)
