Yo!

I was thinking about champions and their lore and I somehow just remembered how everyone reacted when Aatrox was getting released and how everyone assumed Jax was a darkin since there was an Aatrox looking shadowy-figure in his splash art during the time, and I thought to myself, isn't it possible for some Riot employee to like do some little explaining or Q&A or something?

I mean right now it feels like Riot just came up with the "Darkin" race as they were making Aatrox and that there are no plans for them at all, so I just thought, wouldn't it be just awesome if you were to at least confirm if Jax is/isn't a darkin, give a tiny tease/hint to what the other darkin are, if there ever will be any, are they forgotten? Since I believe that the darkin concept is HUGE and has MASSIVE potential too because everyone just loves new champs and there are tons of Jax/Aatrox mainers that want some closure!

I mean Aatrox might not be in the best of places right now in the game but his backstory is one of the coolest straight outta runeterra, and Jax is very similar to Aatrox (Not much is know about him and he is godlike in combat according to lore), so for him to be a darkin wouldn't be much of a surprise so confirming his race as a darkin (in case he is one) would just be really awesome :)! Because I feel like LORE wise there is so much left that needs to be explained, like the whole "Shadow Isles" thing, like "who is the ruined king?" and "why shouldn't mordekaiser be trusted?", and so so many more questions, and I honestly feel like the darkins is the best way to start cleaning up some lore questions, we don't need to know all about them, just maybe a little tease, for example, is there any female darkins? Do the darkins get along? where there many of them? how did they come to? where they created by someone/something? I remember one dev clarifying that there were 5 REMAINING, meaning that there has to have been more of them right? But if there was more of them and they are now dead / ceased to exist, why wouldn't we be aware of them or their existance? I feel like it would be kinda strange if Jax WAS a darkin because he resembles NOTHING like Aatrox at all, the only feature they both have in common is that they are slightly monster-looking badasses with a humanoid structure, so do all darkins look different, in that case they are less of a race and more of a group of strange powerful beings?

I don't know! My head is running with ideas and theories, rito help xD, if you don't want to spoil any surprises about the darkins (if there are any) at least just confirm if there will be any in the future because if not then there is no reason to hold out on such information ^_^! Ooh and also guys, if you have any cool theories or speculations do post them below, I'd love to hear! Maybe there is a darkin in the league already, we just don't know it O_O!

TL;DR: Much story is untold, pls give some teases and hints to darkins, they are a good start :)

Honestly by now I think it is far more likely that Jax is some sort of spirit similar to Bard and kindred.

I mean they are all very mysterious and wear masks with glowing holes.

Man i keep forgetting about darkin, so im with ya. Whats the point of having a race if you dont do anything with it?

However i actually dont want any questions answered about Jax. So much of his character is built around mystery and the implication he may be from outside of all of this.

My headcanon is that the lamp is a Darkin and Jax is holding him inside.

Before the previous lore got scrapped, Jax entered the League of Legends right after the head Summoner, Archmagus Reginald or something similar, disappeared without a trace. Players speculated that the head summoner, Reginald, actually disguised himself as a fighter and entered the League of Legends as Jax. The unbeatable champion. Jax initially had access to every form of weapon and it seems he used almost all forms of weapons until the Summoners decided to limit his use to just one weapon. Jax, as cocky as he is, told the Summoners that he's fine with a bronze lamp post and so the Summoners restricted him to that bronze lamp post.
