PROJECT: Jinx, Is it too late

Ever since I started playing Leauge of legends I've always played jinx I have well over 500k Mastery points on jinx, and I've always dreamt that one day she would get her very own project skin. When Is saw the trailer this year for project skins and saw that my lovely jinx was getting one I was so excited. I've always wanted one for her.

When I got to see what the actual skin looked like on the pbe I was a little underwhelmed but tried to love it as I love every other jinx skin. But for me, this skin just doesn't scream Project. Her look is far too organic to me, for it to be a project skin, unfortunately. And I know that its probably far too late for her to get a redesign on the outfit but it is a really big let down for me. I always buy any jinx skin that comes out because I love her so much but I honestly can't support this skin for her unless her outfit gets redesigned as it just doesn't make me happy looking at it. There are so many things that bug me about the skin. When I dreamt about a Project Jinx skin

Lingerftc's design of the Project Jinx skin is exactly what I had in mind. Her having the full armor on, with neon tubes as her pigtails. https://i.gyazo.com/77614d6e242a88c629b3995622a34315.png All of her Visual effects are perfect, its just her model that doesnt scream project to me. If I was shown this concept I wouldn't guess Project at all. You should be able to tell right away with out the visual effects that this is a project skin just like all the others. I love the Ashe, Vayne and Jhin skins so much but this one just doesnt hit the mark for me.

I doubt that you guys are able to change the skin that much before the release, but I know im not the only one who wants this change. Hopefully the next Jinx skin is amazing and wonderful. I Just cant see my self getting this with my own money.

All of the skins in this years lineup are basically the prototypes and early project attempts. They're more organic and don't look like full blown project skins because they're not supposed to be. I think they should have named the PROTOTYPE rather than PROJECT personally to maybe better convey that maybe?

A person can think of narrative reasons for why things that are disappointing are on a skin. Doesn't change anybody's disappointment with the skin.

Okay but besides WW and Pyke these prototypes do not convey "uncontrollable monsters" at all which was also the main theme of the batch and the trailer.

PROJECT and Prototype are the same for them apparently, cause PROJECTs are incomplete themselves. Lore is a fun thing.

Are you sure she hasn't been the center of attention? I can only see topics about her, while the rest of proyect skins went by like if it was nothing

He doesn't mean the attention of the players, he means the attention of Riot.

She gets so many skins and gets so much love from the Art Riot team that if this time she's left with a more generic skin it's not the end of the world.

She just needs to get the attention of the players for publicity. Sadly RIOT won't do any drastic changes to her design at this point, as they have never done before. Honestly it would feel bad that Jinx got those kind of changes, considering that this has been denied in the past for other, often less popular, champions.

In a perfect world, Proyect Jinx would look like the Fan-art, Lancer Blitz would hover, Morde, Morg and Kayle would have particle changes in all skins that required this and many more examples, but it isn't the case. I can only advice those that don't like the Proyect Jinx skin not to buy it

Doesn't necessarely have to mean that. Afterall, a Jinx VU is something thst cslan save her many old skins, including PROJECT: Jinx. : ^)

I mean Kayn was the legendary for Odyssey, though she was center stage in Star Guardians--albeit the "good but rebellious" Jinx persona that she shares with skins like Odyssey and maybe ambitious elf?

Her PROJECT skin is actually darker than her base, since the power went out while she was undergoing the PROJECTization process. To say she has some screws loose is an understatement, and she might be a sleeper agent for Program.

Honestly I don't really mind the current Jinx skin, and find the concept you poated just terrible to look at. Honestly looks even less like a Project skin than the one we got.

But, on the other hand, I dont like Jinx to begin with so my opinion matters the least when it comes to content for her.

Thst PROKECT Jinx fanart is exactly how she should have been, plus the visors for an added bonus. Riot's version of the skin is garbage and the only good damn thing about it are the unique visors.

its sad but just dont buy or play it. i buyed feral ww before they changed the skin and was so dissapointed i made many threads but got - obviously - ignored. so i dont play with this skin anymore. sad but true.

They said August 1 but I'm not sure what time they mean for it exactly. Cuz its 12:15am rn for me and no skins have been released

They don't usually start things at midnight. That's typically the end of an event or loot availability. Events tend to start and loot becomes available around midday Pacific Time. That's 12 Noon or 1pm Pacific, which is 7 or 8pm UTC (which I think is either your time zone or one hour off?).

You know what, I'm an idiot. I should've noticed the simplified "5 hours ago" timestamp and realized you were only an hour east of me. Instead I looked at the explicit timestamp and let that muddle my interpretation.

But yeah, early-mid afternoon is normal release time for us.

I feel like the Jinx skin is on the right track with the particles, which is what most of the PROJECT: skins should have. Although Model wise, there just offputting. I feel like riot has been really lazy with skins lately. Take a look at the Arcade skins. I'm not even sure if they're going to make a story for PROJECT: like last year. But it's too late for everything, there coming out soon and it's unlikely that they will get changes. [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Honestly, I'm kind of glad people don't like this Jinx skin. She got forced into another skin line and for once it actually has as little effort put into it as other champions' skins. Not like Jinx mains have to worry, they'll get Battle Academia, Pool Party, or something else next year.
