Riot, your splashes are great and all but...

Why is nearly every single splash art composed of the champion facing the left side of the screen from the right? Like, after you look at all the splash arts, you notice that nearly 90% of all the splashes have the champion facing in the exact same direction at approximately a similar angle:

I mean, your splashes are fantastic and all that, but it seems like you guys have really been milking the cow dry with the three-quarter view from right to left with your most recent splashes. Like, there are a few exceptions like Gnar

But outside of that, your newer stuff has all been at approximately the same angle and in the same direction. Like, don't get me wrong, the three-quarter view of the splashes is nice, but when it's done in excess it gets somewhat stale. Splash angles like Vladimir or something from the other direction would be great:

probably because of the whole stat bar thing on the left when you view them

when they face the way they do shown in the pictures, to the left (our left) you're inclined to look at the whole picture, you know? the stats, and what not

if someone faces the other way (like morgana) eyes tend to wander off to the space in that general direction they're looking at away from the center, kinda

but the way morg's is set up is that her body is like, spread out, all flashy with that magic in her hands, so it doesn't really apply to her

this probably doesn't make sense and sounds stupid, but this is just my two cents

Haven't yet seen the Karthus splash. Just as fantastic as the rest! Good job for these amazing pieces of work Riot!

The same reason most desktop wallpapers have content primarily on the right side; there's stuff on the left that gets in the way. And if a character on the right side of the screen is looking to the right, it tends to look weird.

well its alot easier to draw a face at an angle rather then straight forward looking which would allow for some good clarity on the details of the champion splash art and with the whole right - left thing that's probably just for consistency

There really doesn't seem to be a consensus. We have left, right, forward. I don't mind it, but it is odd.

Maybe it's because all art tends to be that way, and people tend to be perceived as more attractive when you look at their left side?
