Reading Aurelion Sol's bio; Pantheon is a girl?

In the lore, there's a large portion of the story that refers to Pantheon as "she", yet in Pantheon's lore, it refers to them as a "he". Care to explain?

EDIT: Thanks! I wrote this before finishing reading Sol's bio, at the end there where subtle hints that Pantheon reincarnated.

Pantheon as an entity is one of the Targonians; a space faring civilisation who are not exactly all that comprehensible to human beings. Pantheon, like some other Targonians, sometimes finds a way in to human bodies through possession, with those who're empowered this way being called "Aspects". Pantheon has had many humans to inhabit over the years, and the last one before Atreus (the man he's currently inhabiting) was a woman.

This is better explained in Pantheon's long lore really.

Pantheon is a "It", It takes the a human body as "host" sometimes... The "host" of Pantheon in the Aurelion Sol was female... but she died.

Now, the new host of Pantheon is Male.

The Pantheon is a sort of reincarnation of a great warrior. Each generation has one, and in the time of the Bio, Sol is being commanded by a female warrior representation. Pantheon that you know is a male reincarnation, the spear of whom determining his lineage. So, yes, the Pantheon is a female, but is later born male in another life.

At least, that's how I've perceived it. Not sure if this is 100% correct, but I know for a fact that it's a sort of embodiment, not just a person.

No, no, Pantheon isn't a boy or girl. It's some sort of alien parasite that infests people and takes over their bodies. Apparently, the race of alien parasites is called a Targonian, and they can travel the stars and enjoy enslaving people.
