Riot: Please Change Kassadin's Joke

Alrighty, first time poster here at the boards, just want to say I'm impressed with the amount of red posts. In short, you guys care.

With that off my chest, I want to talk about Kassadin, specifically his /j joke. He says:

"I tried to silence my mother once. Boy, did I regret that."

This used to be great, but it's not relevant anymore. Ever since you guys took away his Q's silence, there's no real connection to the champ. And while I can't offer up any suggestions, I really want to advocate a change.

Anyway, that's my nit-pick with the game right now. I'd love to see an under the radar champ like Kassadin see a little work done.

Welcome to the boards. If you've ever seen the progress with champ updates you'll know that it takes Riot (who created the biggest online game in the world), take years to make a change.

Recording new dialog for a champion is actually a pretty big headache. Since Riot doesn't use in-house voice talent, they have to go through the entire process of negotiating a job with the voice talent every time regardless of how many or how few lines of dialog they're recording. That's why they try to do all the dialog for a champion in one sitting. Kassadin is very unlikely to get a new joke until he gets a VU/VGU that includes a new VO a la Nasus/Poppy/etc. It's just too expensive and time consuming to call back the voice actor to record a single line.

I have a great idea, since now his q interrupts instead of silence change it to

"I tried to interrupt my mother once. boy, do i regret that"

My duo partner pointed this out the other day, too, interestingly enough. Kass's joke is a bit out of date now.

There's no way they'd be willing to bring a voice actor over just for one line, unless he was there for the line AND another job, like a diffrent champion or just a total redo of kassadin.
