Lord Dominik? Lore speculation

Lord Dominik's Regards is an item I noticed fairly recently and it got me wondering who Lord Dominik might be...

To send someone "your regards" is a phrase often used ironically before you send them to their untimely demise. So it makes me wonder what manner of Giant Lord Dominic has been slaying. I imagine that Lord Dominik orchestrates the removal of metaphorical giants i.e. General du Couteau rather than literal ones. For what purpose though... I don't know.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Most items that have names in the game were just named after players, so it's probably nothing special.

Dominik is a common name. Lord is lord.

it could be, but still, the item has a story most likely.

Usually artists have an explanation for their work. I was in a school of art, whatever we did we had to explain why we did it. "Because it sounds cool" doesn't cut it :|

There is a theory that relates Master Yi to Youmuu's Ghostblade. Blade of The Ruined King has lore to it.

So I'm also assuming Lord Dominik's Regards has a story too

Youmuu's Ghostblade is an homage to Youmu Konpaku from Touhou Project.

Lord Domimik's Regards is named after a moderator on a League fan site.
