Is Pulsefire Ezreal part of the same alternate fantasy the project skins are from?

How PROJECT Champs Transcended Humanity

"PROJECT is a series of alternate future/universe skins in League of Legends. Set in a dystopian future of Ionia, it features champions augmented by cybernetic enhancements."

Now this may just be me, but thematically and visually Pulsefire Ezreal seems to fit right in on the Project universe, personally I would love to see it rebranded to be part of it, maybe even as the prototype or original Project, but as I find that unlikely, I would at least like to know if he is at all meant to be part of the same alternate fantasy that the Projects are, whether its in a similar vein to the Neon and Galaxy series of skins, unrelated or something else entirely.

Mind you Im aware that PFE came out long before the Projects, but given the, seeming, thematic overlap it just seems to make sense to include it as part of the series.

Obviously Pulsefire Ezreal came from a time before Riot solidified the idea of that skinline, but yes. For all intents and purposes, if Pulsefire Ezrael were to be released today, he would most likely be released under the Project skinline. Hell, there's a pretty solid chance his design influenced the idea for the skinline in the first place. Hopefully Ezrael gets an art rework, since he's left seriously wanting in that department - but hopefully his Pulsefire skin will be aligned more with the Projet skins to be a truly badass addition to the roster.
