What materials were used in zaun? I know some type of stone (any knowledge on what stone exactly?), copper, iron, glass and lead. What about wood? Was wood common? do only wealthy have wood? Any wood at all except for in living plants? And the gold ish material we see in Piltover, is it also found in Zaun?

You have no idea how much I love the fact that this is a question. I adore Zaun (good Summoner name, btw).

Unfortunately I cannot give you an extensive answer, but I will point out that Zaun has a lot of brickwork - most likely imported from Mudtown (it had been on my mind during the creation of the Medarda Heirloom - where they got their bricks). Tesla Effect has a good few references too, and the teaser vidoes mentioned are good - don't forget that the The Climb (Season Start 2018) has a few moments of Zaun visible too.

Ugh I love Zaun - cultivairs in particular.

Piltover's newer structures are graceful mixtures of polished marble, latticework bronze and shimmering glass that sit alongside older building of hewn stone and weathered timber. Fluted towers inlaid with gold and silver reach for the clear skies, as arching bridges span the chasms between the clifftops. The entrances to mercantile buildings are often incredibly elaborate. Even those dwellings that predate hextech have since been ornamented with elaborate details to further reinforce the impression that Piltover is a city drowning in gold. The interior of Piltover's buildings are no less ornate than outside, and are often marvels of technological ingenuity in their own right.

Most of Zaun's structures are crafted from lattice ironwork, either forged in the many seething foundries or wrought from scavenged material discarded from above. Though there is brutal functionality to the bolts-and-rivets of Zaun's structures, its inhabitants still manage to craft breathtaking wonders that pierce the smog and reach for the sky. Though swathes of Zaun are little better than polluted slums, and others are all but overtaken with steel and stone, living things still find a way to grow such as the example with cultivairs. Although much of Zaun lies in the shadow of towering cliffs, it is not a city of gloom. Chem-lights burn in bolted sconces and through creative use of colored glass, polished steel lightweels bring light to the depths.

Looking at a lot of Zaun's art, here's what I've identified:

  • Lots of wrought iron.
  • Lots of glass, usually clear or stained with yellow or green.
  • Lots of natural stone, usually somewhat un-worked, where it occurs naturally and can be used for parts of buildings.
  • Lots of brick.
  • Flagstone streets.

Those seem to be the predominant building materials.

In Zac's color story a metalsmith's shop has wooden floorboards, so wood doesn't seem to be rare or exceedingly expensive.

If you don't already, I'd recommend using the Zaun illustrations on the universe page as references.

Warwick's champion teaser should be a good reference.

EDIT: Ekko's, too.
