Questions about Factions

I've been looking at the Factions website, and it seems pretty cool. The Institute of War will always exist in my mind, even if if has been retconned. However, I have some questions about Factions.

  1. I don't have enough IP yet to get all the core champions of a faction. Is this a problem?
  2. How often are Faction matches held? Is there a specific schedule for them, such as every Tuesday at 9:00 pm EST?
  3. Can someone explain the military, research, and trade point systems? They're confusing.
  4. How do I join?

You could probably get better answers to all these on the Factions site, and you can join just by clicking the little tab that says "Sign Up" and then your server (NA for you). But from what I know...

  1. Most factions will have some low price options. If you just say "Hey, I only have these champs", people will usually understand fine.

  2. There are "featured matches" that have special rules/points, but regular matches for points can be started by anyone at any time. More info on how to do this is on the website under the tab that says "How To Play", in "Create A Match".

  3. They give bonuses to dice rolls that determine certain events happening. Some can be "spent" to do special things, and all that is decided in a poll of the whole faction on their private forum.
