Darkin invasion theory

So i was thinking why would the darkins randomly attack runeterra and also why wouldn't they pull back when they started losing the war and going extinct because of the war

And then it came to me, what if the darkins didn't come to runeterra to wage war but to survive from a "natural" disaster. I'm assuming that the darkins come from another planet, one that wasn't suitable for life anymore because, hear me out, THEIR SUN JUST EXPLODED OUT OF NOWHERE, a perfectly healthy star just died.

Now you might tell yourself "This doesn't make any sense" and I'll tell you that in league's universe stars can die/explode out of nowhere because is enslaved by the targonians and whenever he disobeys one of his stars is destroyed. So as an last act of survival the darkins opened a portal to another world and got as many of their species in and got to runeterra, their last remaining hope of avoiding extinction.

And who knows maybe they tried a political approach at first since probably not many of them made and just trying to get the planet by force wasn't much of an option in the first place. but either way the runeterrans killed all of them (almost).

But hey that's just a theory and aatrox's update (with hopefully a darkin lore update) is not that far away
