was born and raised noxian but after the war of noxian and ionian she was then exiled from noxus. It later in the lore says she warders in self imposed exile ,so does that mean she wanders in ionia since she could not leave or does she wander in noxus since some how she can swim over an ocean walk a long distance to noxus without a boat to take her on. also where else would she be able to learn 
's wind tecnique
ModWulf Helhammer3 votesUmmmmm, several things wring with your post. FIrst, Riven is not Ionian by any means. She is self imposed exile, but still considers herself Noxian, just not what Noxus has now become. Second, she doesn't actually have a wind power like Yasuo; it is from her sword, which has magic properties due to the runes in it. Third and lastly, teleport doesn't exist in the actual world of Valoran, only on Summoner's Rift (hence it's called a Summoner Spell). There are these things called boats which she could use to get across an ocean, but if memory serves me properly, Ionia is a part of the whole mainland continent, so Riven wouldn't have any need to get on a boat in the first place to get to Ionia (also she was in Ionia when she put herself in exile, during the Noxian invasion on Ionia. Also there is no knowledge of where she went after her exile, only that she is in exile)

ModWulf Helhammer1 votesThey're pirates....if you have money, they'll do what you ask. Also, if it was still relatively recent after her self-imposed exile, she could have used her position to force a lower level pirate or merchant to take her. (and there's always the last option: stowaway)
yingyang grey1 votesyes but wouldn't they just kill riven no one wants her alive and many want her dead she probably has a bounty on her head from the ionians or noxians. another thing is why would riven want to go back she is exiled (banished) from noxus she should want to go back it would be stupid for her to since she is at risk for her being killed. When she can just stay in ionia and perfect her technique and become more powerful since thats what she seeks to be. Ionia is more of a land of peace where riven won't be in that much danger than from noxus.

(suppose to be joke) thing but my point remains that how would she be able to get back to noxus since she is exiled she cannot return on noxian boats. there is no way the people of ionia would help a noxian get back home. (nor bilge water want to help and nor would noxus since she is exiled). When i say she is ionian i mean does she now live/wander in ionia not was she born there. Lastly i would like to point out that riven wind power is a technique and not just her sword by telling you some of 's quotes
"3 swift strikes, wait" three swift strikes is what yasuos q does to be able to cast his tornado which is part of both of there techniques.

YASUO ACTUALLY SAYS ITS A TECHNIQUE (and not just power from her blade but a technique that has learn from ionia)

I mean if you train with a weapon,you can learns several techniques how you can use that weapon.However that doesn't mean that you could pull off all of these techniques with different weapon(even if it is a similar one).

GreenLore1 votesThats basically what I meant. The effect of Yasuos technique and Rivens technique is basically the same(a wind cut),but the method of doing it is different.
Riven probably doesn't use yasuos technique,she seems to use her own,which is linked to her sword.
Even if the techniques are connected,if Riven was the killer,then she would have to master this technque before she got exiled.

this isn't about if riven was the killer or not its a conversation of where does she wander ionia or noxus and I am saying ionia since thats the only place that teach a wind technique.
