Cleaning up Akali's lore

This is a small attempt to make it a more enjoyable read. I am not quite sure if it was a success, but I am sure that if you are awake by the end of it, then it cannot be worse than the original. Although. I could be wrong.

The Ionian Isles is a home to many ancient orders, but none of them are quite like the Kinkou. They are a group obsessed with balance. Be it chaos, order, light, dark or whatever else that must be scaled equally. By any means, as their three shadow warriors can attest.

Akali is one of them. She is the Fist of Shadow. At her induction to the order, age fourteen, she easily sliced a thick chain, dangling from the ceiling, into two. With a hand chop. Coincidentally, the sacred duty of the Fist of Shadow is called "Pruning the Tree".

The previous Fist of Shadow was Akali's mother. She was a woman of discipline. As soon as her daugther could make a fist, she began training her. Daily, and nightly. Activities ranged from punching a stack of paper on a wall, one thousand and fifty three times. To hand chopping planks, at least sixty-two times a day, starting from an arm's thickness to that of a leg and beyond. To jumping from tree branch to tree branch, ideally across a glade or three. To sprinting seven miles in rough terrain. And, much, much more.

It was harsh training, for a harsh duty. For the Fist of Shadow must not falter. In her mother's words: "We do that which must be done." She meant it literally, no matter how morally questionable it might be.

"If you impede the balance, watch the shadows for a fist."

There exists an ancient order originating in the Ionian Isles dedicated to the preservation of balance. Order, chaos, light, darkness - all things must exist in perfect harmony for such is the way of the universe. This order is known as the Kinkou and it employs a triumvirate of shadow warriors to uphold its causes in the word. Akali is one of these shadow warriors, entrusted with the sacred duty of Pruning the Tree - eliminating those who threaten the equilibrium of Valoran.

A prodigal martial artist, Akali began training with her mother as soon as she could make a fist. Her mother's discipline was relentless and unforgiving, but predicated on the fundamental principle: "We do that which must be done." When the Kinkou inducted her into the order at the age of fourteen, she could slice a dangling chain with a chop of her hand. There was no question - she would succeed her mother as the Fist of Shadow. She has had to do much in this role which other might find morally questinable, but to her it is in service of her mother's inviolable doctrine. She now works with her fellows Shen and Kennen to enforce the balance of Valoran. This hallowed pursuit has unsurprisingly led the triumvirate to the Fields of Justice.
