Does Draven have NPD, is his persona an act or is he just Draven?

NPD as in Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

People take his smug, self-important persona for granted, but I think most of us understand that is not just how normal human acts, and that he is truly fucked up in the head.

What lead him to his twisted view of self (the lame answer would be bcuz he was an orphan and felt rejected, which is most likely the case, but it can't be THAT simple!!)? What made him develop said disorder? Is his persona just a mask to cover up the inner sadness, suffering and conflict he is dealing with? Or is he just... Draven?

We could have a really complex and tragic champion at our hands right here, and I hope sooner or later we'll get more background on these Noxian brothers, Draven specifically. And to be honest, I would really enjoy a male champion who had to actually fight against himself, rather than others, because that's usually the background on most male champions (don't quote me on this).

EDIT: If you're going to downvote I'd appreciate your opinion at least!

This is really thoughtful. My family is full of psychiatrists and psychologists so I hear these kinds of ideas all the time. I think the answer is a little bit of both. Somewhere down the road, Draven's subconscious mind might have developed what we would call Narcissistic Personality Disorder to counteract the feelings of rejection caused by being orphaned. However, his conscious mind would potentially be unaware of the shift and simply view his own current personality as "just being Draven." The mind is extremely complex and it's always difficult to sum up someone's personality with a "one or the other."

He could just be a regular narcissist, no need for a disorder.

Theres a reason he calls it the league of draven, and a reason he needs to "outshine" his brother. Just because YOU have a problem doesnt mean YOU get to FORCE it INTO a champion...lest we have another "ezreal gay or no"
