I'm losing sleep over Jhin's arm

Keep ur Jhin up·4/19/2016, 9:34:54 PM·3 votes·6,144 views

Can someone please explain to me Jhin's "robot" arm?

It's way too small to be some sleeve, on his high noon skin his arm CLEARLY has bolts and joints on his arm. (Big 'ol screws on his forearm). His splash art has a big ball and socket and for the login screen his fingers even eventually move in a very "mechanical way"

But riot says he's just a normal dude with normal limbs, and I just can't accept that.

Can someone please explain to me this man's noodle arm.

Basically Jhin wears armour on his arm and legs to compensate for the insane recoil of Whisper when it's fully assembled. Without it he'd probably break something just by shooting it. He hasn't lost his arm or legs, it's just protection against gun recoil.

I wouldn't consider anything on skins to be canon.

IIRC, it was a miscommunication between the design and art teams. That's why it looks like a robot arm in the splash, when it actually isn't supposed to be.

Well, the big bulge on his left shoulder is ammo for his ult; huge bullets he feeds through to his gun. Maybe he needed a robotic arm to place the bullets on his shoulder?

I like to think he was born malformed and this is why he is now so judgemental of beauty.

Nothing Rito says will deter me from believing Jhin is partially a robot tbh. Imo he's a lot cooler that way. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
