What Champions are Protectors/Generally sympathetic/caring?

Just wondering I'm not overly into lore, but just wondering what Champions are generally "good". Not so much clear-cut JUSTIIIIICE, but caring and they are on a mission to either protect, or get revenge for something that was done against them/someone they cared about.

I.e.: Soraka, Lucian, Irelia, Volibear

Ashe is a rather benevolent ruler and tries to make the freljord a peaceful nation

Azir is quite the benevolent ruler too,but he is rather vain and also seems a bit naive,so i dunno if he counts

Braum is probably one of the nicest guys in the whole game,he even risked his life to save a bird nest from a volcano

Janna has made it her goal in life to better the world, especially the city state zaun, who is full of murdering madman

Karma was originally a pacifist, but when her people were threatened by someone who had no intention to talk things out she fought for her people, killing the enemy leader(demoralising his people so that they surrendered),she is ready to fight, but seeks the most peaceful way of solving conflicts

Kassadin he basically saw the otherworldly horrors and dedicates his life to fight them.He tries to warn and protect the people about the monstrosities of the void, even though many don't believe him.

LeeSin His lore might receive a big retcon in the future, but his current lore has him accidently destroying a whole village with his magic, after that he becomes a monk to atone for his sins and doesn't want to use magic ever again. He lit himself on fire, which destroyed his eyes as a form of protest to free his land from the noxian occupation

Leona generally wants to avoid unnecessary violence(her tribe has the tradition that everyone has to participate in battle to the death at one point in their life, leona refused to kill her opponent, her tribe went so far that they wanted to execute her for that)

Lucian might fit here.He fights evil creatures to protect valoran and was very kind in the past. After his wife got killed by thresh,he became a lot colder and seems to focus on undeads, but it is hard to say how good/extreme he is.

Nasus Nasus seems to be a rather good guy,but it is hard to say.

Ryze carries his scroll around because he knows it conatins dangerous forbidden magic and he doesn't want this magic to fall in the wrong hands

Soraka is going around healing people because she can

Zac is simply an overall nice guy and protects the weak

EDIT: Sorry for the long winded post; things like this get out from under me somtimes =\

Well, Braum's Braum pretty much an unquestionabley nice guy: From what we've seen, there's not a single not-nice bone in his body: Even when he's taunting the enemy, it's more playful than hurtful.

From his lore, of note is how much effort he went into to save a Troll child, even through trolls are basically hated by everyone else: It shows just how much love and respect he has for all life.

And despite all the hate he gets in gameplay (He probably deserves it, but that's not the point) Lee SinLeeSin is actually a pretty good character, at least as long as we're going off his old (Probably defunct and retconned) lore: He committed a terrible atrocity in the past as a result of his cockiness, and spent the rest of his life becoming a monk in order to atone for his actions, vowing never to use magic that caused the atrocity.

Later he would set himself on fire, enduring burning agony and surviving for MONTHS in protest of his homelands being occupied by foriegn forces. His actions were a big influence in the freeing of his homelands, and when his lands were free and he allowed the flames to be extinguished, he still ultimate lost the use of his eyes. Even so, he resolved to join the League of Legends in order to continue his atonement.

And to quote from his League Judgement:

"What is your direction?"

"To do what is right. To protect the overlooked things which matter most." The drop of sweat hovered on the edge of his brow. "You can find them in the bubbling of the brook, the shade of the passing cloud, or the coolness of the rain." On cue, the drop fell to his waiting palm.

Ashram phrased his response carefully. "Your protest moved all of Valoran to action. Nearly to military action. This is a tremendous amount of power for one man to wield. What happens if that one man's intentions become corrupt?"

"Then I hope other men find the good in themselves to do what is right."

TL;DR I think Lee Sin is a pretty cool character, hope his theme of atonement and redemption persists into whatever his new lore is, and that he can get a rework that makes him more balanced to fight against so that I can say "I like Lee Sin [for his character]" without people coming at me with pitchforks.

Alistar Anivia Ashe Azir Braum Galio Garen Karma Leona Lucian MasterYi Poppy Quinn Shen Soraka Volibear Zac Varus Tristana Teemo Taric Irelia Diana You really set a pretty broad lens for this, since it is very easy to work revenge into this for a lot of them.

The OP mentions "not so much clear-cut JUSTIIIIIIICE," but I'd count Garen. He's essentially a nationalist paladin, and his sole purpose is protecting Demacia and its citizens. Just because his protection isn't the warm fuzzy kind offered by Braum doesn't make him any less of a protector.

i didn't know lucian and volibear was sympathetic and caring

but Zac Azir Braum Nami Annie Amumu Alistar Karma Ashe and Ahri in her own twisted little way. They fit the sympathetic/caring/protecting archetypes you're looking for

With the new Harrowing lore, we can probably add Nautilus to the list (defending his home city from the Black Mist is pretty heroic in my book). Veigar Is a potential candidate (trying to eliminate all the evil in the world is certainly a noble goal), even if his methodology is ... questionable. Jax Yeah, there's nothing concrete about this guy's character, but he seems like a generally nice guy. I could see him as a friendly Jackie Chan type mentor to others. Vayne Corki Darius Garen Rumble In the same vein as Nautilus, these people just want to protect what's theirs, even if they are a little extreme in their views. All of these people could be called 'national heroes' of a sort. Heimerdinger Viktor Some people just want to make the world a better place.
