why kindred moves me.

All aspects of kindred is one body split in two Lamb is the body, Wolf is the spirit, Lamb is blind , Wolf is deaf, Lamb does not feel, but understands feelings, Wolf feels but does not understand them, Lamb is white, Wolf is black,Lamb is peaceful, Wolf is aggression. I realized Lamb has memories while Wolf always forgets. This character is so deep and philosophical.

I love the subtlety. Lamb is soft spoken and kindly. Wolf is gruff and violent, but the true danger lies in Lamb, and the true heart lies in Wolf.

They are so sad yet so calm.So violent yet so peaceful.

(-Are you there, dear wolf? -I am, little lamb.

-Are you sad? -I am...

-What does it feel like? -A long hunt with no kill.

-How old are we, lamb? -Older than those whose footsteps are long vanished.

-Many years...

  • I remember them all...

-How long will we be together? -Forever more.

-Never one... -Without the other. Never one... -Without the other.

-Have they forgotten us yet, little lamb? -All still know us, though they try to forget. Soon... we will remind them. All will know us... in time.

-What do all stories have in common, dear wolf? -They end.

-Lamb, tell me a story. -There was once a pale man with dark hair, who was very lonely. -Why was it lonely? -All things must meet this man, so... they shunned him. -Did he... chase them all? -He took and axe and split himself in two. Right, down, the middle. -So he would always have a friend? -So he would always have a friend.

-I see water! -They are called tears.

-Is this what it feels like to end? -I do not know, for this is not our end.

-Do others come back? -Those who do, wish they hadn't.

-All life is temporary. All things, great and small...

-Die. -There are so many ways to die... The only true death is to never live.

-Is it time? -We will soon awaken from this pale slumber.

-We are not dreams, we are the waking. All things linger... -In our shadow.

-Life is ours... -To end.

-None can hide. -Though many try.

-Those who run from death... stood still in life.

-They laugh. -And scream. -And dance. -And flee.

-They race from us. -Only to find us sooner.

-They know we'll come. -Yet they're never prepared... Treasure your final moments.

-We know your name. -We have always known it.

-All your life has led to this moment.

-Its heart beats fast now. -It knows...

-Beauty fades... That is why it is beautiful. Tomorrow is a hope, never a promise.

-Your time has come. -Ready or not. -A fine life reaches its conclusion.

-When you see us, -It's too late.

-No match for us! -Few are, dear wolf.

-I wonder how they see me... -Ashes on wool.

-What sound do they make? -Feathers falling on fresh snow.

-How does hunger feel? -Always there.

-Peacefully, they go. -Hungry, we follow.

-If it draws breath, -It meets us.

-Go easily. -No! Thrash, flee! Run, if you can!

-Who's next? -Everyone.

-Every life, -Ends with us. -How one dies shows how one lived.

-They struggle, good. This next one will be easy. -And if not? -More fun.

-Embracing life means accepting death. Hush now, rest. Depart in peace. Return to nothing.

-Time to... -End this.

-Lamb calls. -Wolf strikes.

-And everywhere lamb went... -Wolf was sure to follow.

-And everywhere lamb went... -Wolf was sure to follow.)

I am truly moved by kindred

Off the top of my head I think Ekko and Brand are the two that resonate with me based off of their stories.

The story where Ekko's parents get him a name day cake as a surprise, even though they're basically living pay day to pay day, and he rewinds time to share that moment with them over and over... oof, chronobroke right in the feels.

With Brand it's the whole nature versus nurture. Was Kegan's attitude a result of how he was treated? Would his story have been different if those around him had acted differently? Did he bring about his own undoing or was it others who fanned the flames?

Glad someone else feels this way about Kindred. Every time I pick them back up after a hiatus (I used to be a Kindred main, currently I've diversified champions pretty heavily) I feel like I'm having an experience rather than playing a MOBA. The voice lines, the animations, the sounds, the gameplay, it all works so well.

I know lots of people only think of Kindred on the boards when they're calling for reworks but imo the character is superb as is. If the gameplay is boring to you that's your opinion but they serve a niche role in game and in lore. In lore they're basically a force of nature yet each half has their own personality and reasons for doing what they do. In game you play as Lamb, who is clearly the brains of the operation while still directing the emotional Wolf when it's okay to strike just like in the lore. You hunt people whose time it is to die as a marksman jungle with an ult that stops all from dying, it's amazing.

There's a few other characters that really grip me the same way but Kindred was probably the first. This post gets a big ol' thumbs up of appreciation from me.

Lamb is blind while wolf is deaf?

I agree that this whole yin and yang theme they have is lovely, but this detail can't be right, can it?

When it comes to moving and heartwarming characters, then Orianna is a big one for me. This girl sacrificed everything, and I mean literally everything, to help people. She lost her own body to save children in Zaun. And she even gave up her own heart to save the life of her father.

Now she is facing the reality that she is no longer what she used to be. She is lonely. The only one of her kind and she has to find a new place in this world and discover herself once again.

I actually wrote a LoL fanfic and had 2 whole chapters of just lamb and wolf.

Its really easy to write those, at least for me.

what characters move you?

Pre-rework Gangplank, Taric, and Poppy.

Warwick Main3/28/2019, 6:54:28 AM1 votes

I love Kindreds quotes as well.

But Ekko moves me the most, followed by Warwick, and then Nunu.

He tried so hard to save Arjuna.

Taliyah moves me because she's an earthbender.

Also because she is accepted by her family for who she is and you know. That'd be nice.

They one of the better written charterers. Just sucks that both in game and in lore they are forgotten about most of the time. Like you can't have Death especially such a interesting take on Death and a well written one at that and not have them involved in the story much.

I wonder if Runeterra has biologically immortal organisms. There are a few jellyfish species, a few plants, a few things that just don't die. Ever, as far as we can tell.

Barring disease and predation, of course.
