Shy With Ideas ;w; ((S.O.S))

Hello, my name is Ellie, or Ella. I’m a young, awkward aspiring artist. And I hope to one day work at Riot, however I’m scared to try and post my ideas on the boards in fear of them being taken by someone else, claiming it as their own idea and leaving me in the dust. I know about water marking but..I’m still skeptical yknow? ;w;

I’m thinking about trying to see a tour of Riot and maybe try talking there but that might be awhile.

I have so many champ and skin ideas buried in the back of my mind waiting to be animated to life!

I’m presently making portfolios for the future, one for new champions and another for skin ideas for already existing champs!

Sometimes I just wish I could sit down with a Rioter and talk with them about the game and my ideas 😅 I probably sound quite silly honestly!

Cool! Well, I can totally get being worried about people steeling your work. I write a lot and I’m paranoid about stolen ideas so I have my name randomly inserted in the text at places.

So long as you water mark it or leave a signature of it on the original copy though, no one could pass it off as their original work, mainly because your post would have a time stamp on it declaring it the first.

I say post it in Concepts and Creations or Story, Art, and sound. Both board sub communities are super nice and whenever I’m a part of them they seem like pretty great people who love original work, or just high quality pieces.

I’m not sure boards are the best place for trying to apply to Riot however. I know they have a special page for the actuall company “Riot Games” that’s Desperate from Leagues website and boards that could be a better place to start for job hunting. Hope that helps

Incorrect board, post this in the Concepts and Creations, Story, Art and Sound is to talk about things created by Riot.

I got a bit wordy bellow so here, TLDR: Love to see your work, compete for fun and learning more than winning, and be confident!!!

Hahaha, well, I’m pretty forgetful too. I’d love to see some pieces of your work!

Oh I also saw a comment about not joining a contest. So i think there is value for entering a contest more than just winning. Heck, only three people get meddles. But just being part of the process is actually a huge deal. You might get constructive criticism or just be exposed to other competitors who might trigger an idea or have a technique you like. Winning is a good goal, but not the reason to compete. Plus it’ll help build some of that confidence you were talking about, since the most nervous you’ll ever get is your first try at something. After that it’s about learning to handle with whatever happens next.

Think exercise for an example :( My goal may be to out run one of my super athlete friends . But honestly I should do it for my health if that never happens.
