i'm an artist i draw sht alot and it pisses me off greatly when people straight up say ''UGH THIS NEW KATRINA SPLASH MAKES HER LOOK LIKE SINGED IN A WIG'' this is the second time iv'e witnessed people belittling the artist because ugggggh she has such a weird chin or uggggh whats up with her leg coming out of a portal.....when will the goddamn splash art circle jerk stop i mean seriously stop criticizing fcking everything.
It would help if some of the new splash updates coming out didn't look worse than the previous iterations. Personally I don't like the new art trends of characters depicting lurching head first into the screen.
Circle jerk != genuine criticizing.
Honestly, I'm in the group of people that think Katarina's new splash could use some touching up. Janna also had this consensus and Riot decided to alter that and make it better based off feedback. I can only hope they do the same with Katarina in time.
Your idea is fine, some of the criticism is over the top/downright mean, I'm sure it must suck to be the artist and have people sht on the thing you put so much effort into.
But you need to look up the definition of circle jerk, it's definitely not what you were trying to say. Circle jerk is when people stroke each other's egos all around. Circle jerk of splash art would be the Riot artists telling each other their stuff is the bomb, we're so amazing, our art is the best, nothing is wrong with it whatsoever, etc.

I'm confused, are you saying they shouldn't give community feedback? That they can't have opinions? THEY SHOULD GET THEIR OWN BOARD AND MAKE ART HAVE ITS OWN!?
But in all honestly, the last one needs to happen. Like people like you, no offence, don't come here to hear about Art stuff. No offence to the people who really like Art, its not you guys fault (nor is it Riots) that your part of the Art boards or vice versa, but sometimes I too get tired of seeing Discussions about how to make a skin more appealing. Less we all forget all those Ahri threads my gawd, they all have points, valid points too (some with the new Kat splash) but seeing like 25 threads about it seems a bit much.
