Story Mode

Some of you may think this is a dumb idea and some may think this is a cool one like me. But wouldn't it be cool to have a story mode in Leauge of Legends? When i say story mode i mean that we will play the champions lore. If we take Zed for examlpe. Get to play through as Zed when he trained with Shen , unlocked the box and learned the forbidden way, and defeat the master (like a boss fight with the master) . Know it would take time but would be pretty cool!

I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE this if it comes out. But sadly, I don't think it's realistic.

Now there is a cool way Rito could market this and make it possible

Say if you just released a chapter of a section of the lore and make it into some type of campaign

Because it has absolutely no impact on the game they can sell it for Rp

And maybe as a reward for completing the chapter (which costs Rp) you get a skin

Rito makes Profit

i recognize that maybe filling one huge part of the lore into one campaign would be a hassle so, patch after patch they can release chapters so you can but it all at the beginning like a season's pass, or buy it chapter by chapter.

I was thinking that possibly Riot should just acquire a full new department dedicated to make this happen XD

Each champion will have its own lore that comes out one after another just like how champions are released, and they cost RP to play.

Kinda like Heart stone :P

I would buy them allll :P

Selling a game mode for RP sounds like a terrible idea. It would just give the impression that riot is going to make you pay for playing the game.

It would require a stupid amount of ressources to even begin with

And how would it even be played? I can see it being Bastion style, with the narrator and all

But seriously it would be stupidly expensive to make, so don't get your hopes up

Or better yet, make a different game that revolves around those champs. Since the MOBA game itself aint canon, that leaves opportunities for other kinds of games to step in and create some story magic.

I would love for a game like this, but I don't think it would work with the current League of Legends game. I think if they were to do something like this, it would be best to do so on a console, and you would probably change character to play out the lore in chronological order. I don't know. That's just one take on how something like this might work.

Though honestly, I'd rather have a League of Legends movie, lol.

I dunno... Considering how long it takes for a game of quality to come out (not something out of a hackathon; a LEGIT game), I'd be more willing to read comics on each champ. Maybe a solid 2-3 issue comic on each champ's lore, with a bit more.

I think it would take less time than making a game.

This would be *AMAZING! * I mean, honestly I get bit bored of doing the same stuff everyday in league (Though I love it) And Story mode would be on hell of a great way to do something new!!

That would first require the game to have a lore though, and riot's stated they don't want that anymore.

Overall this sounds cool and all,but I doubt they could really do it.

I mean you have to take several things into account: 1.Most chapters would require new enemy models,a new map,etc. 2.How would you even progress the chapters?I mean Zed training against shen sounds cool on paper,but if he doesn't know the shadow techniques at that point,then it'll basically boil down to: "click on shen to attack him,then wait a few seconds". Most battles would also be kinda one sided,since in many cases it'd be you against a single Ai controlled opponent(even worse if there aren't any minions around),which would be over pretty fast.

What would work much better would be to basically retell bigger battles where many champions are involved. Like make it so that on dominion,one side represents noxus and the other one demacia(with noxian/demacian soldiers as minions) And you could only choose champs that fought in that battle.
