I always wondered when reading Elise's lore...what the hell was she doing on a ship before taking a wrong turn to the Shadow Isles oO

It was a 3 hour tour.
it is believed that she might have been(or still is) a member of the black rose,she might have ventured to the shadow isles to find a way to revive sion.
She was possibly one the team that went to the shadow isles from the black rose. Only thing about that is, how did anyone else survive? Its pretty clear that she fed her companions to vilemaw "Fear not, you're going to a better place now. I will take them all..to a better place"
