I keep on wanting to catch up on the lore, but I'm always doing it in large chunks of three through six stories when I'd much rather read every story as it comes out. I want to see if there are other people who would want a notification system specifically for the universe site, and what they'd like to see out of said system. Personally I'd be happy with just being able to join an e-mail list that pings a link for each new story/comic.
I completely have been on the Universe site for the past 4 hours and have a lot more comments about it. Firstly, it's supposed to be the site for pretty much all stuff not directly game related, yet it is lacking a majority of the non story content. In the "explore" section there are separate tabs for videos/music yet they are MASSIVELY out of date. Secondly, even the core parts of the site aren't being properly maintained. Aphelios and Qiyanna still aren't on the Map (Senna too but that I understand because she isn't actually Demacian like Lucian), and Senna's short story isn't linked on her page, unlike almost every other champion's short story(s).
Ultimately I feel like the Universe site doesn't actually have any department, or even any one person, in charge of maintaining it. It appears to me that the Story, Art, and Sound developers/creators at Riot are just each individually made responsible to put their content onto it. It may just be because Riot is expanding almost every aspect of its company that this is happening, but please put someone in charge of maintaining the site. Having a single site that gives reliable access to ALL of League of Legends non-game content is so important to keeping that content relevant.
Would be cool. Even better if we could select champions and regions we want to get notified when they get new content.
Has everyone just forgotten about the Lore Patch Notes we have for Universe updates already? I know it's been on hiatus, it is holiday season after all but it's meant to come back next year.
