Heimerdinger vs Viktor

I think there should be more interaction between and . They are by far the two most brilliant inventors, they both created a line of robotic champions (Battlecast for Viktor, Mecha for Heimerdinger), and they both even have a robotic arm. In my opinion, this is ripe for one of the greatest rivalries in League of Legends, but Viktor doesn't even acknowledge the Donger's existence. If Viktor thought Jayce could be a worthy ally at first because of his intelligence, why has he not even tried to convince Heimerdinger of the Glorious Evolution? In-game interactions would be nice, but I also think more of the lore should mention this.

Putting aside the fact that neither had interactions prior to their updates, and in Viktor's case he still has none, I suspect the reasoning behind this lack of acknowledgement is due to their characters. Both are intensely focused on their technological pursuits and generally being tolerant of anything that does not impede their work. Neither are exceedingly violent or malicious, and are generally well-adjusted members of society. Granted, Viktor's agenda is odd or disturbing from an outsider's perspective, particularly the misinformed, but he is far from dangerous.

Both are aware of the other's existence, but have no real reason to interact.

Also, Heimer does have a taunt for Viktor, but its more of an observation than clever insult.

If you seek to replace all humans, there will be no one left to appreciate your work.

It certainly implies Heimerdinger considers Viktor's inventions to be of value.

It certainly implies Heimerdinger considers Viktor's inventions to be of value.

I don't want to be that guy, but Viktor has been shown to be violent in Jayce's lore.

Viktor is clearly not just a peaceful well adjusted person of society. Viktor is currently on a line between being a disappointed and broken man and an emotionless machine intent on remaking the rest of the world into machines, whether it wishes him to or not.

If the two were to interact then it could be based on Viktor accusing Heim of seeing machines as nothing more than widgets to tinker with and discard or perhaps claim he isn't going far enough with his research. On the other hand, perhaps Heim could say Viktor has gone too far with his technology or say that organics and machines can live and work side by side.

Exactly. And his taunt shows just how little Heimer understands Viktor's work. He's not seeking to replace people with inanimate objects - and his primary goal is not to be appreciated. Heimerdinger's observation is like a shallow glance, a note what it all looks like on the outside. They don't have much reason to interact, if we ignore the part that Heimer took the idea of the third arm directly from Viktor.

YES. There should be. I imagine them being friendly rivals. As in, they know they are rivals, but aren't at each other's throats. But rather, they just simply rival each other by trying to out-shine the other.

"Friendly rivals". Meaning each would only in hindsight be a rival. Implying that they know they are rivals, or at least viewed as such, but treat it as a thing in which they cannot help. The rivalry is created by the fact that they are both amazing inventors. "Friendly rivals" simply means that they know there is a rivalry, but do not really care about it.

Seriously, why the hell Heimer has an interaction vs Viktor instead of Rumble?

... And im pretty sure that Viktor "acknowledge the Donger's existence", after all, Heimerdinger is the inventor of the Runeterra's version of the light bulb.

Never in the lore or in-game does Viktor acknowledge Heimer. And while Heimer should definitely have an interaction with Rumble, Rumble is mostly ignored by the other champs because due to his own arrogance he is a failure. He never admits that his designs are flawed, and thus never improves. Overwhelmingly the two greatest inventors are Heimer and Viktor.

Heimer has a slew of inventions. Corki's copter, The runeterran lightbulb, his turrets, etc. Clearly one of the "best inventors", if not the best.

Viktor has his hex core, but also takes credit for blitzcrank. Not to mention his 3rd arm, or any of his other tools.

Rumble is less defined by his inventions than Heimer is and more by his desire to scrappily (HAR!) stand up to those that look down on him, yordles and other people.

And Rumble's issues with his inventions isn't that he's a failure, it's that he's chosen to take the hard route and build his machines from junk and scrap instead of going to Piltover and gaining access to their resources. He's actually a more impressive inventor in some respects because he's been able to make his mech with what he has.

Rumble got a few interactions with trist in the super galaxy skin and the trist update. That said, kinda sketchy how heimer didn't even have a taunt for rumble when his skin and his update came out close to one another.

Then he got mad and got a mechanical thrid arm upgrades with offensive powers - he seems be pretty pround of it since it's the perfect symbol to how the human body can be "expanded" and "improved".

And Heimer... a short time later got the VU: with a mechanical thrid arm capable of offsensive powers - of course not as "human" as Viktor's but it fulfils the same function. I wonder how mad Viktor gets when he realizes someone has stolen his idea YET AGAIN...?

It's either stolen work, or the idea of third arms to help with work was a standard idea at the college.

In Heimer's teaser image for his rework, there is a very clear drawing of Viktor and his third arm on the blueprint for Heimer's third arm. Heimer definitely stole the idea.

I'd quite like some more interaction in general, and Heimer/Viktor would be a good place to start. But there's a risk of little happening, since Viktor already has a thing with Jayce. Still, the League has a lot of inventors, it'd be worth putting them all in a room together for a bit, so they can work on nerfing Kassadin together.

I feel like I remember reading somewhere a while back that Noxus didn't care for Yordles, and seeing as how Zaun and Noxus are allies I always thought that Zaun would share the same ideas. So maybe Viktor doesn't care to acknowledge Heimer because he's a Yordle. I would still like to see interactions though if they ever add more lines to characters, but judging by a thread about voice acting the other day, that seems highly unlikely.

You can see Heimerdinger,Ziggs and Rumble in the splash arts for mecha aatrox and mecha malphite,so they were most likely created by those 3.

Jayce created some other skins lines like the full metal line and I think pulsefire ezreal is his creation too(But not sure about that one)

If i remember correctly, Runaan said that Ezreal "found" the suit... so, no one knows who created it.
