To be really blunt perhaps a small lore can be made for the skins of champions, could even be a couple of words I.e Mercenary Katarina: Katarina's outfit when she was on mercenary duty or could be longer for things like legacy and legendary skins

Some skins did get a bit more backstory behind them like Pulsefire, Spirit Guard Udyr, Pentakills, Pre-Void Kassadin, Explorer Ezreal, Freljord Ashe, Arclight Varus....

Also, one of my friends is making a list with all the skins, sorting them with possible outcomes they would come up in.
