@KateyKhaos DJ Sona music level

Oerbà··5 votes·3,275 views

Her music sounds kinda low at all points through the game until you hit level 16, even then it's kinda low. Especially in ARAM, you can barely hear it over the ambient noise and everything going on. Is there any chance it could be raised?

And I have my music and master volume both at 100. My computers is at 80.

Hey Oerba Star,

Is this when you're hitting a particular level, or if you've died? Levels of the music fall off if you die.

I have noticed this as well. The music is very low pretty much all game.

No, it's as the game progresses at 3 layers. Her music sounds more like background music then a DJ making music. And in ARAM it's really quiet because of all the trades and ambient map noise.

Hm, okay. Lemme look into it. I'll update this thread when I have some answers. ^-^

I personally find DJ Sona's music to be too low as well. I've had to turn sound effects, ambience, voice, etc. down just to actually enjoy it. Maybe you could add a DJ Sona slider when DJ Sona is picked or something? The music is really hard to listen to and appreciate in-game.

We don't have plans to add a slider for DJ Sona's music. It's currently tied to the 'Music' audio option.

I just bought the skin and I've noticed this, too. I basically had to turn my ambiance off, and the sfx way down.

We've been taking a look into the music related to DJ Sona, and things appear to be working as intended on our end.

DJ Sona starts out with a base track at the start of the game. Upon using Q / W / E the first time in any form, it will add a new music layer to the base. You start the game with base music in Kinetic form. Press Q once and it adds a new bass layer to the base music. This will already be applied if you change to any other form.

That said, DJ Sona's music is tied to the 'Music' slider in the Audio options menu. Have you tried adjusting this?

Yes, all my League sound sliders is at 100. The problem isn't the music layers, just that it sounds really quiet considering all the ambient noises and team fight sounds that go on, it's almost impossible to hear. It sounds more like background music, not a DJ making beats for a club.

Then lower everything but music? Making the music/sound louder then the other things

I hopped into a game with DJ Sona, and I was able to hear the music without issues, aside from in team fights, which is something we're okay with. Ethereal was the only track that was slightly softer, but that's due to the music being a bit more low key than the other two tracks, which are more aggressive; however, It was still audible.

For context, these are my audio settings.

Hiya!

Sorry for the delayed reply - I was on vacation last week.

As mentioned in the previous reply, we've found her to be working as intended. Based on the information provided, are you not able to add layers?

It's not the layers, it's that her music sounds very quiet considering everything going on around her. I just want for her music volume to be raised, it's nothing with the layers.

Hey KateyKhaos, I have to agree with the OP here; I'm always very excited to see DJ Sona in my games but whenever I turn on her music I can barely hear it over other elements of the game whereas the regular music of the game is very easy to distinguish.

I think the general consensus is that it's almost not worth choosing to listen to DJ Sona because she's so quiet compared to what's expected. The skin almost needs a separate volume slider for itself, or a louder starting point compared to the normal background music.

Hey this thread seems to be on the way out, but I'd like to pipe in here (pun intended) and say that I also find the music of DJ Sona to be way too soft. The only way I can get it to the levels I want is by turning down all the other sliders and pumping up the volume on my computer, even with LoL music level at max.

Even if the DJ music is at similar levels to the normal music (which I don't think it is), it would really be nice if you could really pump the music since it's epic dance/dj/whatever music, not just bgm
