Unanimous reports for an afk should not result in loss of lp.

How many times have you been in your promos and there he is, support temmo, yasuo jungle, or the dreaded all ad comp. GLHF summoners, fuck you I'm going to troll. Then for the next 20 - 30 minutes you're stuck in a game with someone who's only goal is not to win the game, but to tilt you, to make you as miserable as they are. If we have a system in place that allows to see when a troll has been punished because not only did your team report them the enemy team did as well. I believe that the team that had the troll on the team should either not lose any lp or at least lose less and for those in promos it should count as neither a loss or a win. I've been trying to grind it out before the end of season and I'm tired of moving backward because someone doesn't know when they should stop playing. I'm tired of babysitting baby rage egos and its a quick fix a problem that can easily be a addressed. Give the winning team there winning lp I don't mind that at all, but for us to not only have to sit through a whole game of being trolled having a salty laner follow you around and take your jg after dying over and over blaming the jg for not ganking, c'mon riot its miserable. Just try to keep fair in mind. I think its only fair that if someone is being punished for violating the summoners code his team shouldn't have to suffer even more by losing lp it can be very discouraging. If you join a game and you should be trying to win the game period.

The trick is to find a way to accomplish this that doesn't allow or encourage abuse. We have the Remake system, which is very narrow, but also virtually abuse-proof.

You're not alone, many feel this way, but I guess no one knows how to go about it which results in the "it happens to everyone so it evens out" response.

If disconnected for a certain period of time, maybe there should be a "report afk" button which unlocks in that situation along with the "surrender button" . This way there is a more clear understanding of the situation and maybe we can save our lp.

That's all I can think of. Maybe it could work, maybe it can't.

Edit: the afker(s) would obviously lose points in this situation in order to prevent abuse of this implementation.

Devil's advocate here: Somebody feeds, so the rest of the team bullies him into AFKing so that they don't get penalized. If he does AFK, the other team's time is wasted. If he doesn't, toxicity has been cultivated and teamwork suffers.

Yeah I hear you on that one. It certainly isn't an easy thing to fix. I am one who would agree that it happens to everyone and evens out, but I spose it still sucks to know luck can play that big of a factor (having an afk).

Yeah, it's rough.

Much of the blame simply falls on this sort of game. Small teams, highly dependent on teamwork, scaling power levels (so no possibility of replacing an AFK with a different player), relatively long games.

By comparison, WoW battlegrounds were large enough that a couple idiots weren't enough to stop a win, and in WoW arenas you were by definition paired with people that you knew and at least somewhat trusted, so they wouldn't fuck you over. Plus, there was no real power scaling within the span of a single game.

Similarly, in unranked Overwatch or Rocket League I'm pretty sure they'll just replace an AFK with somebody else in queue. Not sure about ranked, of course.
