In my last game i had an amumu in the jg. For these things. Firstly the one who farts loudly is the exact translation of his name. I didnt say 1 bad word about him. He was denying cs in my lane. I mostly flamed my self in the chat above. Amumu was denying cs in my lane, dying over and over, smiting my cannon minions. And its the second time on me getting banned because of a jungler who is saying from the first minute that he will not gang, and u are ok with it, then starts flaming everybody and u are ok with it, THEN faking sabotages u, are u still ok with it? There are 4 players trying to play a game in LOL, and the 5th is trying to tilt them all. You ban the 4 and u let him go? again and agian? whats this report system in the end. i dont care losing, or someone doing bad. But someone sabotaging me the whole game since lvl 1. i cant stand it. Is my experience worth less than his experience?

So I agree that Hurple is in the wrong here for flaming and such, but he does bring up a point that I think is fair to address.

Is there any sort of plan to implement behavioral changes into players' actual gameplay. I absolutely am on board with the idea that their really is no excuse for flaming your teammates. But I feel like players who ruin others' game experience but stay quiet in chat get away with a lot.

Yeah some people are just not as good at the game or don't understand certain elements, but I mean even if you don't understand that taking your mid's cannon cs is bad, you still can understand "Hey, stop taking my CS, just stop the wave". I'm not saying Hurple's situation is a good example of this, but it does happen A LOT.

Just a couple games ago I had a jungle Zac who just kept diving in and dying despite the fact that we were behind. No one flamed him, but at some point he said something like "No way we can win with this top and bottom anyway" and then just kept forcing bad fights or dying alone somewhere. Chain feeding without hard INTing. Playing noticeably worse, knowing he was playing worse, because he doesn't give a crap.

Shouldn't we have some sort of sweet spot where refusing to cooperate with team is considered just as heinous a crime as INTing is? Our system is a bit one sided. If someone in game is being disrespectful of their team by playing like they don't care at all, then they get flamed for it by team, in my mind BOTH PARTIES ARE EQUALLY GUILTY AND SHOULD BE PUNISHED. Like at a school if a kid is irritating the crap out of another kid then gets punched, the faculty will punish both sides, not just the kid who hit.

I'd like to see trolls getting banned just as regularly as flamers IMO.

Not in and of itself no. But it can be a part of the greater act of just intentionally sandbagging your team. Like when you ask him to not do it, and he still does it, and you look in the jungle and his raptors are up that he could be taking instead, and you see that the wave is already stopped he doesn't need to take CS to stop the push or save the. Again in that situation when you specifically ask them to stop and they keep doing it, you done goofed.

Same deal as when your jungle gets tilted when behind and just spams ganks and engages despite the whole team asking him to stop.

When you stop doing what you truly think is the best thing to do to win, and just start doing random stuff or things you know is not good, that's trolling and should be reported and banned as such.

I don't know whether I would agree with you. What you described can be within the grey line of being bad.

Everyone has different thoughts on how to win the game, what can be seen as a bad move by you may not be seen as a bad move by them.

If I see that my ADC has poor positioning throughout laning phase, I'll probably start taking CS / kills as a Zyra support and start carrying instead. He might tell me to stop, but based on how I saw him play, I've already stopped trusting him and classified him as a walking ward / sandbag.

He can report and complain to me all he wants, but in my eyes, giving him resources would be a bad macro decision, as he'll just end up standing at a poor location and die early without able to contribute, so might as well have someone better make use of that gold.

I think you and I both know that people sandbag intentionally quite often, and that most people screwing over their teammates are not doing it because they think it's the best idea. Like I totally agree with your scenario about Zyra support above. Like who is going to complain about someone who is helping carry the game taking cs?

The issue is a lot of the time the guys you see taxing lane were doing poorly themselves and trying to catch up, or they are also chain feeding in conjunction with taking your CS.

It's not about how good or bad it is. It's about people asking you to stop, and are you really doing what you think is best for the team or are you just trying to spite someone. It's about giving 100% effort even when things have started to head south. You should be tryharding from minute one until the nexus blows up, anything less than that is at least light trolling IMO.

Oh I've had plenty of people call me a troll for taking CS.

I've had ADCs rage quit on me cos I'm taking CS.

I've had people keyboard warrior me and say that they are the ADC, thus they should always have the CS and I should just protect and peel for them. While saying that I don't understand the game, cos they are the ADCarry, while I explain to them that Yi and Fiora can also be an ADCarry. They want all the resources so they can carry.

Do I sometimes take CS to spite the Marksmen? Sure, I have my passive aggressive moments. Do I take CS to try to get back to the game? Sure I've done that before as well and it feels like crap when there is a giant wave and the mid laner comes in a swipes everything in 1 shot. But in SoloQ, disagreements to strategy is not a punishable offense, and only when it's super obvious that they are intentionally griefing that will be punishable.

Trolling's grey area is too huge, and sometimes conclusions can't be drawn even with mass disccusion. Look at cases of SupportSmiteSinged or DoubleJgNunu. There still will be a tonne of people agreeing and disagreeing with those cases.

I have no problem with off meta strategies. You run what you want, but you should go into game with a plan and a theory of how things should work out and be trying your hardest.

The moment someone cashes out and just starts lollygagging around the rift or griefing their team (these are usually pretty obvious, especially since people typically say stuff in chat like "I don't care, the game's over anyway" and then continue to chain feed), the moment they do that they need to be reported and punished with the same gravity you give to someone who is walking down mid under towers INTING. It doesn't matter how or why you are helping the enemy team, doing it at all is not permitted. Trying to win with a off meta strat is perfectly fine, AS LONG AS YOU ARE ACTUALLY GIVING 100% EFFORT TO THE WIN.

LOL Thanks, I am not going to say he is innocent because there is behavior that shouldn't be there, But Riot you also need to start investigating other types of intentional griefing behavior, its harder to track but i've had it happen in 3 games today.

The problem is that Junglers are sometimes intentionally griefing games earlier I had a game I admit I wasn't playing my best as I could have, but my jungler comes up to my lane fails a gank hard, then pushes all the CS all the way up to the tower and gives the enemy a huge lead causing serious damage and problems.

I am not saying its right to be toxic because another person is toxic, but sometimes people are just passively intentionally trolling games with their actions to upset players on their own team especially when its already a hard-match-up but its going well.

I had a player do the same bullshit to me earlier when I was ahead, and would have been ahead JG again runs into my lane tries to kill steal, does't do anything but push wave and tilt the game to the point where the entire team has to pay the cost of their actions like causing loss of a lane, or causing a player who could do better to carry to fall behind.

Basically I feel like these people are trying to bait others to be toxic in chat then report them so they get banned and keep doing it.

I simply want to give some more insight on his logs. His language is Greek written with English characters. What he says in English is somewhat of a "childs-play" compared to what he writes in Greek. I can translate them if you want, to show you exactly what i mean.

This is negativity, harassment, and light flaming - all punishable. And, as mentioned - depending on your prior level of punishment, you could very easily step up into a ban for this.

First off - no, you didn't. I don't see one negative comment directed at yourself. Second, even if you did, that'd still be punishable. "Negative Attitude" is a report option, after all.

See, this is what I pointed out earlier - you say you didn't say anything bad about Amumu, but you called for reports and made accusatory remarks about him. Whether or not they're true doesn't matter - that you made them does.

I'm not sure if this was an intentional misspelling, but, allow me to provide this modest bit of clarity:

There's no fucking rules against fucking saying fuck, and I find it a little odd that you'd deliberately misspell it - assuming you did, anyway.

Say fuck all you want, just, don't use it against other people.

That's a pretty biased and loaded question made from misdirected hate, from what I can see.

Look at it like this: Are either of your experiences worth more than the experiences of three to eight other people? Three of whom have to listen to you flaming?

Because that's how Riot sees it - one bad egg ruins the game for four to nine other players, and if one of those other players becomes a bad egg, that's only making the game worse for the other three, potentially eight, who are just trying to play an honest match.

TL;DR, you got banned for your own actions, not those of some random Jungler. Your teammates didn't want others to deal with your negativity, so you got reported and appropriately punished.

Perhaps you need to reframe your perspective on the situation - rather than look at the wrongdoings of other players and the damage they're doing to your experience of the game, look at the wrongs you yourself are doing, and how you damage other players' experiences.

I live in the real world. and if that is toxic. when a player is obviously trolling purposely and you speak up for yourself and say , " hey someone help me get rid of this player" because at the end of the day he is ruining the game for the team. but as i can see you wouldnt care as long as the troll/feeder isnt toxic its all good. mhmm sure. let me know when the carebears come by :)

Yes, it is toxic, and flaming also ruins the game for other players. If it didn't, the OP wouldn't have been banned. Plus, you're implying that trolling/feeding isn't toxic in my eyes (which, it is, by the way. Trolls and feeders get punished too, but you wouldn't know that.), and assume that everyone just dismisses the trolls because "oh noes, flaming!"

There are two major things you're deliberately ignoring at this point, so I'm going to write them in boldface:

You only need one report to flag a game for review. Any other reports past the first are thrown out, and additional reports hold no extra weight. Asking for reports is useless because you can very easily report them yourself.

The rules clearly state that you are not allowed to flame, harass, or be a douche to other players in general. There's no context in which flaming is okay - it doesn't matter if someone's trolling or feeding or what, but being an asshole because of them isn't going to improve the situation. It's really only going to make matters worse.

But, of course, I know that telling you this is all for naught, since, you resorted to insulting me personally and pulling the usual toxic BS of dismissing the punishment system as being for "carebears", so, this will be the end of this discussion. Reply if you will, but I'm done. Have a good day.

isn't toxic. in fact, i commend him for keeping his shit together whilst someone literally makes it their goal in life to ruin the fun of atleast one other player. when will people start valuing the time of players in this game? i'd rather be flamed for 30 minutes (can be solved with the mute button) than have someone troll me and literally make my 20-25 minutes flow right down the goddamn drain. i know toxicity in chat is bad but i think we can all agree that intentionally feeding and trolling is way worse

Honestly... TV and real life teach you to stand up to bullies. If you do that in LOL, you are being 'retaliatory-toxic' and you get banned for it. Rito sure teaches kids quality lessons x) Its better to pretend to be Jesus and love everything and everyone right? -losing all your moeny and dying in the process. Am I taking rules in a game too far? I am not sure really, moral principles are principles no matter if its a PC game(with social aspect) or real life you should always follow them and being forced to be nice to toxic ppl is just simply wrong no matter if its in the tos or not IMHO.... summoner 13
