What exacly is riot doing lately?

So, just some thoughts and questions for any long-term players such as myself or rito employees, or anyone really.

NOTE: This thread is not asking for me to get unbanned, because I already have confirmation I won't .

tl;dr lcs is boring to watch ( i still watch it anyway ) meta is ruined worse then ever snowballign is ridiculous ( and getting worse because of pbe changes ) riot are permabanning everyone instead of properly reforming ( ie chat banning ) riot arent punishing flamers/afkers riot is ignoring the boards and reddit threads about the ridiculosu things they are doing game is gonna die

What exactly is riot doing? The way riot are operating right now I can almost CERTAINLY say within the next year if this continues there WILL be a decline in the game. Reddit, the boards and everything are FULL of complains that Riot won't even adress letalone resolve. First of all, what is LYTE doing? This punishment system is HEAVILY imbalanced and promotes more toxicity and more work for riot staff then ever.

The curretny system is : Chat restrict, chat restrict, ban , permaban. 4 chances to not be toxic. Don't riot want to reform people? To explain myself clearly, the current system for punishing flaming escalates SO QUICKLY. Have you noticied nobody complains about bieng chat restricted? There's a reason for it. You can still flame in pre-game, postgame and you even still get in-game messages to flame with, aswell as spam pinging , banning peoples champions , etc. Chat restrictions are completely ridiculous, nobody cares about them and half the people ( including myself ) who have recieved them just don't even notice them because they are so minor. 90% of banned people BEGIN to stop or trying to stop flaming after the 2 week ban. However, at this stage, it's too late. After a 2 week ban, if you flame ONCE, get reported ONCE, you WILL be banned, without player or staff review and the ban will NOT be lifted. How is this beneficial , ATALL? Let me give an example. My smurf was permenatnly banned a week ago. The chat restricts and 2 week ban were completely legitimate and I support them, so, from then on I cut my flaming down massivley. To compare, before I was saying things like : LOL, GET F*CKD , ABSOLUTE GARBAGE HAHAH YOUR GETTING KILLED BY A TANK TEEMO MID LOOOL HOW TRASH DOES YOUR TEAM HAVE TO BE

• Frequently telling people to kill themselves
• Frequently calling people trash and garbage
• Threatning to " Run it down mid " ( thanks tyler ) you get the point, basically, I was toxic.

After my 2 week ban, I played 1 game on my smurf, after playing about 20 on my other-account with no issues, no flaming, etc. I was then permenatnly banned after my game. I won't go into the chat logs, but to sum it up - I was permenantly banned for 2 reasons ; saying " ff " 6 minutes into the game, and the other reason, which was frankly ridiculous , was something like " by continuasly asking your team why they are flaming at yo u instead of just muting them, you created a negative environment within your team for which you became responsible for " - to put it short, I was banned for asking my team why I was flaming. If needs be I can post the chat logs. What was paticularly ridiculous about that ban was that I actually recieved 3 honors from the enemy team that game, not because I played well ( i was playing shit that's why my team flamed me ) but because I was joking around with quinn and fizz in the enemy team and we were all having fun. tl;dr, i was banned for a dumbass reason.

Now, that's the current system. You get the 2 week ban and if your reported once more, BOOM, permanent. Kind of ridiculous. Why is flaming seen as the worse possible thing you can do? Flaming has counter actions, you can mute them and boom, problem solved. Why is riot the only game that permenantly bans for bieng salty, especially in the current state of the game in which even pro players are against Dynamic que, the ban system, matchmaking systems, que times, the meta, where the game is headed ( future changes on pbe ) , why NOW OF ALL TIMES are we handing out permenant bans like nothing?

What exacly would be the disadvantage of having another 2 week ban, ora month ban , or a few days ban, or even a week long chat restriction where you can't type ANYTHING? Would that not be better? And for those who say " well if you chat restrict them permenatnly they will just run it down mid " Yeah, maybe they will, and in which case, they wil lthen be permenatnly banned. I can tell you, ALOT of flamers, upon getting a longer ban or a permenant chat restict will instantly make the decision do i care about my account, am i going to reform or troll. Yes, some will say the latter, but that way you can filter out the players. Those who don't care are not very likely to make another account, they have no champions, level 1 , no skins, they would likely just not troll and hold onto their account. Let me make it clear for those who don't understand -- chosing not to troll is far easier then not flaming. Flaming comes natrually, it's just a personality kind of thing. Yes, it can be stopped. I myself have had anger problems since a kid, I had ADHD and I would literally scream and throw fits if my mum even asked me the SLIGHTEST offensive question. It was to the point my mum and sister had to hold me down to make me take my tablet to shut the fuck up. Point is, flaming comes natrually to a person, trolling doesn't , so the likelyhood is that most people would NOT troll and just shut the fuck up and hold onto their accounts.

On the topic of trolls - WHAT EXACTLY IS RIOT DOING? Do they not see the boards and Reddit are FLOODED with accounts that NEED A PERMANENT BAN for intentionally going AFK, intentionally trolling , etc? yesturday I saw a post of a guy in platinum 3 who plays Rammus, goes 0/20 every game, builds 6 tears and is CLEARLY just trying to die and ruin the game. What about people who OPENLY ADMIT to trolling, OPENLY ADMIT to going AFK just to spite everyone, WHY ON EARTH ARE THEY NOT BANNED? Why is it ONLY people who do this in high elo ( Tyler1, Dotot) are banned, and the rest of us just get shit on by trolls who do it because they KNOW riot won't ban them? Riot keep telling us " we do ban intentional trolls " when, let's be real, no, no they don't, cancerous Lyte is far more interested in preserving his feelings and not pressing the mute button then he is with games bieng ruined.

And again on the topic of flaming - Why is it nowadays the community literally brands ANYTHING as flaming and toxic ? If I were to post my chat logs ( let's face it this is already a wall of text i'll pm it to anyone who wants to know or just reply ) you can see, the worst thing in my entire chat log that I said was " ff ". yes I had a history of flaming and being negative, but all-in-all, that one game and that one chatlog was what Riot felt was " over the top ". Did I call anyone a noob? Bad? Garbage? Trash? Nope. Did I even swear? Nope. Directly insult anyone? Nope. CONSTANTLY whine about FFing? Nope, said it twice at 6 minutes then didn't say it again. Did I tell anyone to kill themselves ? Nope. Insult anyone's family, relatives or even ANYONE? Nope. I was literally banned, because the words " ff " are branded as completely over the top. I literally just report 3-6 people every game , wether I feel they truly deserve the ban or not. Why? Riot's idea of toxic is now widely accepted, so I know if anyone even calls me a noob, and I report them, they likely call other people noobs too, who also report them, so all in all I just report anyone who's even slightly negative because I know full well Riot WILL punish them , even tho, let's be real, they don't deserve it. But, it's the rules, I'm meant to be a " good community member " and report " toxicity". Really? What the hell is wrong with the community? Why is EVERYTHING seen as Toxic? I literally can't think of anything not branded as toxic. Constructive criticism is even branded as " telling people what to do " and " bieng negative by pointing out their flaws ", asking to surrender is toxic, even MUTING someone is now used as a kind of " haha fuck you you can't speak to me any-more " now, as people just go " bb, muted :D ", xd is now toxic, EVERYTHING in the community is toxic. Let's be real , THIS is toxic :

• Telling people to kill themselves
• Harassing your team
• Trashtalking
• Threatening people
• you get the idea

So, I, along with 90% of the community, will continue reporting everyone for everything until eventually all 89.999999999999999999999 million players, apart from Riot lyte, are banned permanently, at which point there's a possibilty Riot will re-think.

And the meta, dynamic que, matchmaking, wtf is this? You know it's bad when pretty much every pro-player thinks Dynamic que is a joke. I'm sick of bieng matched with 4 premades who don't say a word to me, or 4 - premades in general. The game feels MUCH LESS in my control, because ultimatley if I do well i'm STILL at a disadvantage by not bieng able to communicate as well as the enemy team. My best hope is finding out who's not premade on the enemy team and just shitting on them and hoping my team deals with the enemy 4 premade. Not only that - but what is the deal with matchmaking itsself? If que times are absurdly high, I expect that atleast the QUALITY of the matchmaking will be good. For the most popular game in the world, I can't see a reason I should be getting 13 minute que times in Gold. And again, why in high-gold am I bieng matched with Bronze and plat-1 ? Yesturday I played a game where my team had bronze-low silver and the enemy team had a platinum 1 thresh and a platinum 4 yi. Really? Bronze vs plat ? IW dominate is at the top of league subreddit because in his game, he had diamond 3 players bieng matched with challengers. For those who don't know, the difference between diamond 3 and challenger is probably bigger then the difference between bronze and diamond.

And lastly. The meta. What on EARTH are riot trying to accomplish with the current and future metas? The current meta is boring, and it feels much less rewarding to play what you want. Pro-players say the same, in season 6 you kind of have to pick strong champions if you want to do as well. In season 4, I peaked at diamond 4, playing off-meta picks like Brand, Ziggs, Viktor and Lissandra ( which at the time were not meta ) and it was fine. In season 6, you pick top-tier picks or it's just way to hard to win. Snowballing is out of control, which is what Riot wanted, and higher elo games last 15-30 minutes. Items like Rageblade and Devourer are snowballing far too had, Sunfire cape, Spirit visage and Iceborn gauntlet are idiotic aswlel. And my god. These dragon changes. Not only are Riot incorperating RNG into the game, but punishing late game picks, making snowballing 50x worse, making coming back 50x worse too, game times are going to shorten even longer.

But it's okay, because we have a cool new fiery diana skin.
