Chat restriction

So if Riot is so willing to chat ban people then why are they not willing to ping ban people? I just got chat restricted because some neanderthal spam pinged me all game since i didn't gank his lane for him, if they can mute my chat and i can mute their pings then why is there a chat restriction and not a ping restriction? tbh pings are more annoying than chat. This player legit pinged me any time it was up until he couldn't use any more, legit sat in spawn spam pinging me for a solid 5 min and i get a chat restriction for calling him a little girl who needs to grow a pair and stop needing to be the center of attention. Why is there still no tribunal? It has been under maintenance for like 2 years now. This is why league is so toxic, punishing players who get tilted for other people being ignorant garbage.

You can mute pings on the scoreboard next to the Mute chat button.

When you have the ability to mute his pings, there is no reason for you to respond to him with toxicity.

The Tribunal will not be coming back in the form that it was in. Riot has said a few times that they have no intentions of returning to that system, because it honestly didn't work. It was extremely backlogged, and had a high rate of cases being either punished/not punished unfairly based upon the whims of players voting at the time. Players were winding up punished 5-6 months after the games had been played, because it took that long for the cases to be reviewed, and they would have no recollection of the games by the time they were actually given the punishments. The current system, the IFS, is capable of reviewing all chat logs within 10-15 minutes of a game's completion, and acts entirely without bias. All players are judged on the same standards, and are not subjected to the whims of angry Tribunal voters who simply press "punish" on every case they review for the day.

What you are seeing now, with players being punished for things that they were never punished for in the past... is players being punished for things that they SHOULD have been punished for before, but the Tribunal system was not capable of keeping up with the report volume. It physically could not investigate every single report submitted. The IFS can, and does, investigate every report. And players are now punished accordingly. It only seems like the IFS is significantly harsher because players are finally being held accountable to rules that they have grown accustomed to breaking.

To be honest, I agree. There should be a ping restriction if pinging is abused. The enemies missing ping can be useful in game, but can also be abused as the question mark ping, where players are berated for bad plays. The same thing can be said for the danger ping, even though I find the question mark used more. The option to mute is always there for both, but there should be restrictions for pings such as there are for chat. I do think that overall ping bans are probably detrimental to the game, since pings serve a necessary purpose, but does EVERYONE really need the ability to spam 6 in a row every thirty seconds?

Most of the people never ping and and the problem is, that usualy i dont even hear, when they ping, so its better to ping many times, until you get a response, becouse like in reallife, you know, some people are deaf, when you call them by their name or they ignore you, and then they are bitching, why you call them all the time? Why dont you respond, when someone call you? Maybe we need more ping, lik a OK or not OK sign and learn to use it.
