Why are Silvers/Platinum Players like they are?

I noticed that (especally) Silver and Platinum Players are extremely Selfish and try to turn everything around so they can blame you even if it was clearly theyre fault.

a.e. Lee Q - Follows Riven into Tower on lvl 3. Gets stunned/knocked up... Dies. Lee: "Why no Follow? Report"

a.e. You Ping SS 5 times... they still die on your Rotating Midlaner while you are back in base. "why no SS?"

And i bet you all have that Person in like.. every 4.-5. Game.

Can someone explain me why such People are all in Silver or Platinum? I played soo long in Bronze but rarely had people like that. And now that im silver i get people like that in like.. .every game..

Does the attitude skip gold somehow? I'm confused.

Gold elo isn't as bad as Plat in terms of arrogance, this was my experience too.

In Plat people rage because they don't understand how team reliant the game becomes at higher ranks.

In Gold/Silver you can take every resource, go 10/0 and hard carry. In Plat you need to start thinking about how you're going to win AS A TEAM. Most Plat players I see don't think like that.

Junglers rarely gank and try to farm as many lanes as possible. Mid laners are stubborn and don't know how to rotate, same with ADC's. Supports get autofilled too much and a lot of them are lazy in their gameplay. Top laners play like they're the main carry role, instead of a splitpush/utility role.

It's a mixture of bad habits that causes really toxic and unpleasant games, and each role is guilty of this.

There are people like this in all ratings in every game. Its just how online games work.

I believe confirmation biased has a lot to do with the perception. Players move up and down the ELO latter all the time. In the past 4 years I've been Bronze > Silver > Bronze > Silver > Gold > Silver > Gold > Plat > Silver > Gold > Plat. I guarantee you, although I've changed a lot in these last four years, it didn't have anything to do with my rank.

If anything, I'd say that gold is diamond are the two "You're good!" ranks where your friends start avoiding you because they don't want high level players in their games. Because of this, silver and platinum are the two, "You're ALMOST there!", ranks where people are pushing as hard as they can to close the gap between them and their goals, and every little setback feels much worse for it.
