Player Behavior (Rank Restriction)

Hey everyone,

So I've recently starting playing League again and I've noticed that there's a lot of toxic players. I've also noticed that the report system is a shit ton more efficient in terms of getting players punished that are negative compared to the older days. (I remember when ppl use to say "Report me, idc reports do nothing anyway") Although it doesn't catch everyone all the time, it does a good job. There's still a problem with afkers and intentional feeders, (the less obvious ones to avoid getting caught by the system) sadly. What I've recently noticed is that although toxic / negative verbal abusive players tend to get punished a lot more frequently now, there's also a "new" (to me, since I haven't played in awhile) behavior system.

10 chat restrictions 25 14 day ban Permanent player account ban.

This seems to be a good system, but I do notice one thing that is missing and in my opinion was also very effective. The ranked game restriction for negative players. This system in the past was used where if a player was negative, they would be restricted from playing rank games. The player would have to play normal draft games for a numbered set of games in order to be able to play rank again. But, the player also had to win the games as well.

What made this seem good and effective to me was that not only were they restricted from playing rank games, they also had to play normal DRAFT games, and had to win those games too. So. if they had 10 rank restrictions, they had to play 10 normal draft games and win those 10 games in order to go back to rank. Why this also seemed good to me was that it had a good effect (maybe placebo) of less toxic players in RANKED games. It seemed to keep toxic players and reduce the number of them in rank because they were punished and restricted and had to play normal draft games.

Now, some people might think "Well, it partially "solves" keeping toxic players out of rank, but now they are forced to play normal games and be toxic there and ruin the experience for players who only play normals". Well, that's why they also had to win those games too. So, they weren't able to just spam 10 games and not worry about winning or losing. They had to actually TRY and win too, (or get carried, lul). So, that also had a good effect and forcing them to go play normal drafts. If they continued to be verbally abusive there, well then they'd also get punished further with more chat restrictions or a 14 day / permanent ban.

Basically, what I'm asking is - Why was this removed? It seemed very good for reasons I've explained above and also seemed to be pretty effective too. I would think it would reduce the number of toxic players in rank games. A lot of reasons why players are toxic is because they want to win, they want to climb. They can't climb in rank if they're being negative and restricted from playing rank and forced to change their behavior. Does anyone else agree?
