AFK's Costing people the game

Hi, my summoner name is Xiaolin Monk, you may call me Monk. I've been playing league for quite some time now and the placements for league has put me in bronze 5. I ended up here due to skills, which is acceptable. Unfortunately, i have not been able to leave this league rank due to people going AFK in the middle of game. Now i understand Riot has the "reporting system" but it really does not get rid of people who will leave the game. I literally had two games just now where a player left in the middle of the game causing loss of morale and intent to finish the game. I want to know what do people get back from such events happening because it is too late to do a remake because it is like 15 minutes into the game already. And due to this the random AFK's i personally feel like playing league of legends or trying to climb the league ladder is pointless due to AFK's. Now i have played games as 4v5 before and won but that was due to a possible gap in skill or the champions chosen had great late game but that is beside the point. I'm sure someone will call me a "bitch" or something and tell me to shut up and just play, but honestly, i have lost motivation to play a game where my reports MAY do something and that one person who leaves in the middle of the game will create a loss and decrease in LP. Riot please answer the question, what do players who cannot go any higher due to AFK's receive that will help us stay to play and what is the compensation that we, players, receive for AFK losses?
