Please explain why this deserves a 14 day ban Please riot member respond!

Im trying to reform, but people are so toxic especially when I'm jungle and the enemy jungle is killing my laners. Here is the chat logs that got me 14 day ban, While they may be unacceptable at some points (?) I was being flamed at the same time in most of the conversations. Please would a riot member respond and tell me why this deserved a 14 day ban.

I wasn't the worst person. The adc and top just banded together because the enemy jungler was outplaying me and kept saying report me in all chat, while they were secretly flaming me in team chat....

I wasn't saying you were the worst person. I was saying that just because they were worse than you means nothing. If you were exhibiting punishable behavior, you punishment is deserved if you get it. It doesn't matter what they were doing. It's not defending yourself. It's not adding to the team.

Well, for one, it's telling that you call it stupid because you don't understand it. It isn't that complicated. It's a system that inspects your logs when you get reported. If it finds toxicity frequently enough, it issues punishments. It doesn't look at other people's logs because it's irrelevant to Riot.

Fighting flame with flame does nothing but increase the flame.

If it is a 1 person flaming 1 person war, then there are 3 other people trapped in a negative game which is just demoralizing and basically is going to really just make you lose cuz all of your energy is spent being negative towards other people instead of playing the game

It bans behavior that the community deems toxic. You displayed that sort of behavior, you got banned. If someone else also displays toxic behavior in the same game and they also get reported, they may also get banned depending on their history of toxicity. You are judged on your own behavior in a vacuum, you don't get a free pass just because someone else is worse than you or because someone else starts it.

Spending the entire game insulting your teammates is going to get you punished. Doesn't matter how productive your teammates were being, there's still no reason to do this. It carries no value, and actively harms team cohesion, focus, and enjoyment of the game.

Also, having a name like "I CHOKE MILFS", while admittedly giving me a chuckle, doesn't exactly set yourself up for mutually respectful dialogue.

The behavioral system works on 4 punishment tiers.

  1. 10 game chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14-day ban
  4. Permaban

Everytime you get punished you move up the punishment tier. So consecutive minor offenses will eventually get you permabanned.

This chat does deserves a punishment, so with your previous punishment history, it would move you to the next punishment tier.

As for your statement on "others were more toxic than you so they should be punished as well", that would depend on their behavioral history. You that have been punished before will be punished easier as you have shown to be a repeat offender.

If you reported them, then their toxic behavior will be saved and taken in account when their punishments are handed out. Meaning they could be punished down the road, and whether you get notified would depend on whether your reported game shows up on their reform card.

If you have questions about the system, ask away. But you have to be willing to listen and not have an arguement with me (or other members here).

Your constant nagging/whining when there is a mute system shows your lack of intelligence.

Stop typing, mute who needs to be if your mentality can't handle others mute all at the beginning or quit the game, if you're good at the game which you seem to think you are you will climb regardless of 2 games as long as you don't tilt yourself or gives others the power to distract you.

Did you have a chat restriction? It's a purely tier system. Progressing through the system is just what it is. Get chat restricted, but keep being toxic? YOu're getting a ban. Curse words aren't the only reason to get restrictions. Riot actually doesn't punish you for simply cursing. It's how you use cursing. Also, responding to flame with flame is still flaming. It's not a 'two wrongs make a right' situation.

Bro you have to remember riot is like midschool principles. It doesn't matter who did what or how justified you're in defending yourself. They will suspend and or expel depending on who tattles to the principle (riot) first. Best thing to do is just disable your chat permanently or play a different game with better punishment systems.

That's not a good analogy. A better comparison would be to the management of a bar, in which somebody starts a problem with you and you escalate the issue and start a brawl. Who gives a shit who started it? You're still breaking glassware and disturbing the other customers. Both of your asses are getting kicked out.

If you don't flame people, you don't get punished for flaming people. It's really easy.

Wasn't supposed to be a good analogy. The idea I was going for is that the way riot had things set up is that you be flamed constantly and if you say anything to defend yourself there is a chance you can be the one reported. Problem is mostly because riot only takes one side of the argument to show it making the person look worse.

Like a principal would a child, you could have a kid make fun of your dead mother but if you call him a bastard and the principal sees you then you end up the one suspended.

While I agree a lot of the people defending themselves and being overly toxic should get a chat restriction, but not a perma ban if what they said next wasn't even that bad. Since you can get perma banned for something really minor just because you got a ban before. That needs to change and actually make then bans depend more on how harsh you're instead of just next thing that can possibly be seen as negative should be a ban.

I'm not aware of any information suggesting that Riot only "takes one side". As far as I know, if two people are flaming each other and report each other, both are equally likely to get punished for it.

The IFS (Riot's tool for this) doesn't give two shits about other side of the argument. If both parties are reported, both get reviewed.

Defending yourself is not striking back. If someone is pushing your buttons with verbal remarks, use a magical button and mute them. Then report them after the game.
